Hern is a relaxed but ambitious bistro from chef Rab Adams, located in the suburb of Chapel Allerton in North Leeds. Rab and his team build menus by focusing on products that are in season and at their best. Organic vegetables, local cheeses, heritage-breed meat and wild fish all feature heavily.

    Thoroughly recommended for high quality food and service - just try to get one of the tables in the corners/side as it is very small inside.

    Fantastic meal and ambience. I have been meaning to try Hern and can’t believe I haven’t not tried it earlier as I loved it so much. I will definitely be back very soon!

    Go here for wonderful food you wouldn’t make at home. The atmosphere is lovely and there’s a great natural wine selection as well as other drinks. Just do it!

    Outrangeously top caliber cooking. Absolute hidden gem of a restaurant. Staff were amazing, and drinks menu catered for all. When all you can fault is a wine pairing not being ideal, when you spend all day finding faults in food and drink items for a career, you know you've stumbled across something special. Somewhere we plan to visit again.

    All the food was really good, the trout in particular was beautifully cooked. The wine flight had excellent, interesting wines that went well with the courses they were paired with.
