    We went for Thanksgiving, so I will assume that the server was not a regular waiter but was some sort of banquet server since everyone was getting the same food. I ordered an ice tea and the server stated several times that it was unsweetened, which I said was fine. But then he brings me a diet coke. I tried to tell him that he got my drink wrong and he cuts me off and argues that I wanted a Coke Zero but had settled on a diet coke. We had no such conversation and I certainly don't drink diet soda. I probably would still be sitting there arguing with him had not my brother (a man) interjected that I did indeed order a tea. Being spoken to so rudely and condescendingly about my stupid drink order certainly marred the holiday meal for me. Otoh the food was good and the turkey was plentiful and moist. The Thanksgiving dinner meal, however, should have included some yams or at least a small dish of cranberry sauce. But the waiter's insistance that I had agreed to a Diet Coke was pure gaslighting and was quite unsettling. Another woman at another table had obviously ordered the Diet Coke but must have quietly settled on my iced tea. Imo HH needs to reign in their waiters, even on the holidays.

    Our server, Anthony, was fantastic! The side dishes were delicious. I was so excited to try the fried chicken, but unfortunately it was very dry & not very tasty

    Food was great as always! We had a first time guest who enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Excellent fried chicken.

    We celebrated our 50th anniversary there where we had our rehearsal dinner 50 years ago. It was just as wonderful as it was 50 years ago!

    Outstanding evening. Hollyhock Hill has been a family favorite for many years. Service was outstanding tonight. Food delicious. Thank you for a great time.

    We drove 100 miles to have a delicious family style dinner. Top of the line and tasty food like no other restaurant. I was so happy we had a male waiter and he was new, but top of the line.
