We had an absolutely incredible experience at Hyde Park. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch—attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Our servers (Tony and David G) provided excellent recommendations, and we never felt rushed, allowing us to truly enjoy our evening. Even Randy, the manager, made it a point to remember our occasion and ensure our night was enjoyable. The food was outstanding, with every dish perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We had the best calamari that we’ve eaten anywhere which had a unique spin on it and the filet and New York strip were flavorful and tender in each bite. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special night. Hyde Park exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Six of us had dinner. We requested a quiet area and a round table. Requests were granted. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival Our server did not sigh when we asked for separate checks. Our dinner was delicious. The server answered our questions. We had a lovely eve and will certainly be back again

Dined with friends before the musical at the Van Wezel. Got in on their early pick 2 dinner menu. Plenty of food, lower price and it was delicious. We informed the waiter we needed to be out the door before 7 and he made it so. Highly recommend.

The key to a restaurant such as Hyde Park is consistency - and Hyde Park delivers. Unlike its steak house competitors, Hyde Park offers excellent service - but not intrusive . The salads and entrees are consistently excellent quality prepared precisely as requested.

We visited Hyde Park Steakhouse the day after Valentine’s Day, and perhaps the staff was burnt out from the rush the night before. Sadly, the experience didn’t live up to the high standards this restaurant once had. What used to be an incredible spot with exceptional food, ambiance, and service is no longer the case. First, the ladies’ washroom was appalling. There were paper towels scattered all over the floor, and the sink vanity was so filthy that neither I nor the other woman in the restroom wanted to put our handbags down. Inside the stall, it was even worse. I had to clean toilet paper off the seat, as someone had used it as a cover due to the lack of seat covers. The toilet paper dispenser was missing and left was an exposed bracket covered in old chewing gum. It’s time to hire a restroom attendant, as this was unacceptable. My husband noted the men’s room was no better. I’ve read previous reviews about similar complaints, so it seems this has been an ongoing issue that staff have ignored. The service was another major letdown. Even the table next to us was audibly complaining about how far downhill the restaurant has gone. Our server seemed distracted and disinterested. Drinks took forever to arrive, my cocktail fork was dirty, and the bread service came out nearly 10 minutes after our appetizer. As for the food, the quality was far from what we’ve come to expect. The lobster escargot-style appetizer was so salty, and I’m someone who loves salt. The tomahawk steak, which we’ve always ordered, was served completely differently. Instead of being sliced in the back as usual, it was divided into two pieces. Unfortunately, my portion was more than 50% fat, which was disappointing for a dish we’ve previously enjoyed. I’m not sure if there’s new management or another reason for this decline, but this is no longer the restaurant we’ve loved over the years. Sadly, we left very disappointed and won’t be returning anytime soon.
