Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

    Food is outstanding. Falafel and hummus in particular were great. Fresh middle eastern flavours. The rest is all meh. Service was ok, but didn't get offered anymore drinks after we had finished our first one. Where this restaurant really falls down though is the atmosphere/ambience. The tables are squashed together as close as they can be. You can't have a private conversation with whoever you are with. It's a shame because it just made me want to get out of there as soon as we had finished our food. I know you want to maximise profits but don't sacrifice the experience in doing so. No other resting kingly court looked as cramped as imads.

    Best middle Easter fare I’ve ever had! Excellent dips and mezze but especially mains were so flavoursome and well cooked! And we had a bottle of excellent Syrian wine! Highly recommend

    This restaurant lives up to the hype! The food was phenomenal and the service was amazing too. Everyone was so friendly and they took care of us efficiently. It was the perfect place for my birthday dinner. The lamb shank was delicious, juicy and full of flavour. The hummus with za'atar pita was the perfrct combination and their falafels arent famous for no reason. All their dishes 10/10, if I wasn't so full, I'd have ordered the entire menu. Ive recommended it to everyone and will absolutely be dining here again.

    I went back here for the third time as the food is exceptional and good value. On the third visit I felt a bit dismissed as arrived for the booking time and told the table wasn’t ready. Subsequently saw 2 groups come in to be seated before us. Had to go over to remind them we were still waiting! Otherwise an excellent food experience.
