   First there is no sign for the restaurant. Second, when I walked in no one acknowledged or greeted for an inappropriate time. There is no actual hot food on the menu- no real kitchen to cook. It’s a wine bar- was celebrating something special and we decided to order two glasses of champagne- their most expensive one, and was served in wine glasses and therefore, went flat. Really disappointed, waste of time and money if you want to actually have dinner. We ate elsewhere- waste of money and time

   Very warm and thoughtful service, great wine list, fun location, and the foie gras parfait was among one of my favorite things I’ve eaten this year.

   Excellent experience. We went to celebrate a promotion and I asked the staff if they could have a glass of bubbly for us on arrival, and they gave it to us on the house! I did not expect that and it was incredibly generous. The staff were attentive and very knowledgeable, we will definitely be going back!

   This was an incredible find! Located on Blood Alley, it was a bit hard to find, but well worth the effort. The awesome selection of wine was only upstaged by the incredible meal. Chef Kovic’s creations coupled with Shauna’s subtle and informative service made for a perfect evening. If I had more time in Vancouver, I would spend every night having a meal here. I cannot recommend Is That French? enough

   The wine recommendations were excellent and the portion sizes were perfect to have a lighter meal. Like a good french restaurant, they served fois gras and it did not disappoint. The flight of wines allowed you to taste few so you could suss out your favorites. Perfect for an intimate dinner out or a special occasion.

   Service was great, dishes were very flavourable but some of the food items were pricey. Location is unfortunate.

    We reserved a table for 2 on a Friday evening. The waiters were nice and the food was fabulous. We definitely are going to visit again!
