The food was excellent. Great service. Lovely ambiance. We were celebrating a birthday and they printed "Happy Birthday" and my friend's name on the menu.

We had a late lunch, so the restaurant was very quiet. The food & service were great. We hope to return the next time we go to this part of town.

Nice menu and great service, EXCEPT... we had established a great rapport with our waiter, we thought. Then we see him leaving the restaurant. He didn't even say he was leaving and then we had to find someone to close out our bill. The hostess wouldn't even come over. Not cool.

Isabelle's brunch is always great. They do a bottomless brunch, but the wait staff is a bit vague on what is covered on the drinks, so make sure you clarify before ordering. My friend asked if her drink was included and the waiter said, 'we can make whatever you want.' Then when the bill came and it was extra he said that they could make it, that doesn't mean it's included. He also became very unavailable once I was the only one asking for refills, since it wouldn't add to the bill. I'll still go back because I love their scrambled eggs. Just know what you're getting into!

Overall a very disappointing experience for a tourist in New York City. The restaurant was recommended by the staff at our hotel and we came for an intimate dinner but there were many obstacles. The main problem was that there were too many tables crammed into the dining room. This made it difficult for the waiters to make their way through the dining room without bumping into diners' chairs repeatedly. This plus the noise level made it difficult to converse. Our waiter seemed to be having a difficult evening. He seemed rushed and distracted. We ordered asparagus, but it never came. We mentioned it and the response was "asparagus". I ordered the chicken milanese, which I have had at several restaurants. On this occasion the meat was so tough that it was very difficult to cut, even with a sharp knife. When we mentioned this to the waiter he simply said "it's chicken milanese!"
