Island View Steakhouse, located within the legendary Island View Guest House, is the premier dining establishment on the island of St Thomas.
Everything is made from scratch with the freshest local and seasonable produce and the hospitality is warm and inviting. Be sure to experience one of the Caribbeans few remaining "Honor Bars" where guests are encouraged to pour and mix their own beverage creations to go along with a small and well curated wine list complementing Chef Bishop's creations.

Absolutely worth the drive up the mountain. The views are spectacular and the food was amazing. For those of you who used to go to Island view when Ron and Beth owned it, this is a new and improved version. The menu is expanded and the steaks are still fantastic. But, now you have more than steak to choose from. I love that they kept the honor bar as that makes this place a little nostalgic. They even kept the “living room” which gives the restaurant a homey feel. The chef came to our table multiple times to check on us and to describe the food. The service was very good. You really need to try to donut for dessert! Best dessert we had on the island!

Not a good experience at all. The first two items we ordered were not in stock. One was bread. Seriously. They offer pizza yet couldn’t make bread…. The place has maybe 1/2 dozen tables total and they ran out of bread at 7 pm The 6 oz small filet was not in stock so we were forced to order the 8 oz Food was mediocre at best. The steak wasn’t bad, just not very good. The fish came raw and was taken off the bill. Bar is self serve using poker chips as currency to show what you ordered. Mixed drinks are $12. There is no option for a non mixed drink so you get to pay the same $12 for it if you just pour it straight. All this on top of the fact that it’s nearly impossible to find. A lighted sign might have helped, but that was not to be. We wanted to like this place but that wasn’t happening. I hope your experience is better than ours.

Despite the recent good reviews, we received absolutely terrible treatment from the chef, frankly it was one of the worst evenings dining out I can remember. I suspect the chef's pedigree is fake, and highly do not recommend.

You know that feeling when you have such a superb experience that it is a true joy to write a positive review - just because you want to share it with others and see the restaurant succeed? That is this experience! We just had the most wonderful dinner at the Island View Steakhouse - everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the meal, from the brussels sprouts to the beautiful salads, perfect steaks and delicious lobster ravioli - and a cheesecake doughnut that will change your life for the better. The service was top notch - wonderful waitstaff, and we thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the chef and learning about the various dishes. If you have reservations somewhere else, cancel them and come here - you will be happy that you did.

our first time going to this restaurant after hearing rave reviews about it. well worth it!! looking forward to coming back soon.

Excellent food & service. We were immediately greeted & seated. It is a small restaurant, so make reservations as early as possible. They have an honor bar which is unique. They also provide a 12 room bed & breakfast with a pool. You can see the island from the restaurant hence the name!

Enjoyable meal, excellent service. If driving, allow extra time for parking as there are limited spaces. Highly recommend!

Ambiance,food,and service were exceptional. The owner Marshal was kind and very friendly and helpful. Was the best restaurant on our trip It is a must on anyone’s trip The view from the restaurant was to die for. Don’t miss this gem

This is such a beautiful and intimate restaurant. They only seat around 20 people a night so you get the best experience possible. The view is great during the daytime and at night. Truly with the view everything is magical. The chef came out to chat with our table and explain his take on the food. the menu changes daily and everything was imaginative and delicious. the parking and driving is a bit tough, but it is worth the challenge. They have an interesting honor bar where you pour your own drinks which I found interesting. Desserts were amazing must try!
