A very quiet Tuesday night in Watford and therefore we were able to fully enjoy the surroundings and appreciate the good food at Jardin. I have never eaten authentic Mexican food before so this was a first, and not disappointed. The chicken wings and beef tortillas were excellent and the sauces with them were a delight, but the "Piece de Resistance" (sorry not sure of the Mexican equivalent) was the Duck Mole. Duck breast perfectly cooked and accompanied by two Mole chocolate sauces, one white and one brown, delightful and delicious. We also tried the cocktails, perfectly mixed and presented and as it was quiet we were able to speak with the owner and the mixologist about the background to the restaurant. As a recent start-up it has its teething problems but give itv time and it will develop into good venue for food, music and entertainment.

quality food for a good price. we didn't have to wait long before the food was served. Even de chef came out to see if everything was in good order.

Happy hour drinks good value Menu a bit limited and menu offered in restaurant different and smaller than one on website Food is amazing, very tasty and clearly good quality but the prices are too high Lovely staff, nice decor Need to rethink their prices for their audience but hope they succeed in Watford as it’s a lovely place

We booked a table for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and what a disappointment. We ended up dining elsewhere. Upon arrival the place was pretty much empty and we were told we could "take our pick of tables" as we were the only booking. We ordered a couple of drinks and sat outside until our booking time. We went in sat at a table, nobody brought us out a menu and we overheard a guy saying to customers that they had run out of steak and my husband ordered a beer on tap to be told they had "now run out" and awaiting deliveries. We paid for our drinks and made a swift exit. We were told by a staff member that they were not "ready to open yet but were forced to by the owners" (or something to that effect). It's not the staffs fault at all, we actually felt quite sorry for them! Very misleading advertising of Jardin on social media currently. Maybe in time when things are up and running properly it will be a good venue but for now we will be steering clear.

6.30 booking, on arrival told kitchen closes at 7.30, very small menu, witn a lot unavailable. When the food arrived we were asked if we wanted cutlery???? The food was tasty, but overall disappointing and won't return.
