Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

    we can back here the next day after coming there on Christmas day with another open table reservation but they ran out of food and were closed when we arrived at 6pm and did not call us to prevent us from driving an hour each way to eat

    We went on Xmas. We had one waiter waiting on us. There was 11 of us. It took an extremely long time to get our drinks and even a longer time to get our food. We were there nearly 3 hours. They brought out my corn on the cob after I already completed my meal. I asked for it several times. They gave me rice instead of mashed potatoes. My step-dad got his food after everybody was nearly done eating. The food was decent but service horrible. It was very unorganized and chaotic. Our waiter was nice but he definitely needed help

    Nice meal, good service and it was not too loud. We were able to hear each other in good conversation while we enjoyed our meal.

    Strong smell, bad tasting water, good food! Wouldn’t recommend but not the worst experience I’ve had!

    Server couldn’t do enough for us, friendly and attentive. Food came out fairly quickly, as did our drinks. Seafood prices were average I’d say, but portions are generous and we took half our meals home. Good option if you’re going to Ruth Eckerd venue, as there aren’t a lot of alternatives around that area. We will be back.

    Waited over 8 min minutes to be seated when there were only maybe 8 tables with guests. They only had one girl working doing everything from bartending, taking orders and delivering food to tables. Most of the empty tables were filled with dirty dishes...we were there at 3:30 pm so maybe it was between busy times but the place was a mess and the food was at best...bad. Won't be going back or reccomending this place any time soon

    Very slow for a Friday eve only a few other diners at 6:30 pm. Waitress was great . Food was very good.
