    Everything was fantastic. The server was great. I had the Joey Classic Steak 11oz NY strip, and it was cooked PERFECTLY! My boyfriend has the blackened chicken, and that was also PERFECT! Thank you for an amazing night out. Best food I’ve had at a restaurant in a while.

    When we arrived, I noticed that the place was not full at all, but Open Table app said that there were only three tables left. I commented that to the receptionist. She said they had lots of tables but not so many workers. We were seated immediately at our choice of tables. For some reason, the table service was really slow. We were seated when we came in, but our server didn't come until about 10 minutes later. We had to flag another waiter to ask for service. We were not in his area (table next to the table he was serving) so he said he would get us a waiter. She came about 7 minutes later and apologized saying that they (?) never told her we were there. Even after we ordered, the food came a little later than what we would have expected compared, say, to the Cactus Club or Earls. However, the food was good and delicious. We then ordered dessert and once again, it took longer than anticipated.

    All very good except for two points: If the music can be softer it’ll suit seniors like myself who need a quieter environment for conversation and to listen to what the servers say; the Joey gift card is not very user-friendly: if it’s partially spent, the server has no way to see the exact funds remaining which is only viewable by going back to the original email from Joey’s then asking for a link to check the balance, which is quite a hassle both for the customer and for the servers. I hope Joey’s head office can make improvements to this. Special mention of Victoria our server who’s so nice and patient

    The service continues to impress with staff genuinely concerned to ensure that everything is up to par. Understanding it’s a very old building, the room temperature was a little warm and the lighting at our booth was a little dim but it didn’t have any bearing on how great the food was!! Wow! Have. The. Cod. Well done chefs!!

    Experienced the smallest portions of a lobster dinner that was $60. The lobster tail was 4inch and the tiniest sirloin steak. Very shocking they were comfortable charging patrons that kind of money for such little portions.

    The waitress was fantastic. Food was good. Big party next to us so got a little loud. Even though we asked for a quiet table.

    Joey Coquitlam is worth the regular visit and this location has ample parking spaces. Food is delicious and cooked perfectly. The peanut sauce curry cod, mini french dip, farmers market salad were all delicious. I even skipped the poured peanut curry sauce on the cod. Drinks: the mojito and virgin caesar were fantastic Service: top notch and very attentive as I drink a lot of water, my server came by periodically to check on us.

    Overall was good but server was very slow. It took lots of time to bring our bills and prepare machines for payment.
