    Crab dip and whipped ricotta were very good. We did need more bread but didn't have to ask before they offered. Tacos were delish and the perfect amount of food. Ambience was very nice and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Service was quite good.

    I’ve had two extremely poor dining experiences at the new Joey location. The first one was about 2 weeks. Had to flag down a manager to take our drink order as our server took our initial order and never came back once our food hit the table and onwards. After speaking to the manager, the server came back and did not acknowledge his absence he just said “the manager will take care of a round of drinks for you”. I decided to give this location a second chance as I work in the industry at a similar restaurant. I brought in my co workers and my AGM and we were all astonished as to how bad the service was last night, to the point none of us are ever coming back. We made a reservation, were initially seated and a server brought us water. 20 minutes later, had to flag down that server to take our drink order because she never came back. At that point it took another 15 minutes to receive the drinks (the restaurant was not busy) and was brought to us by a different server. No one came to take our food order so we had to flag down another server. Our food was brought out by a different server and we had to flag down yet another different server for our second drink order. We didn’t see our initial server all night. It seemed as though there was no server assigned to us. Workers were walking around the restaurant but no one was tending to our table? We wanted to order mains and more drinks but at this point it had taken 1.5 hours for our apps and 2 rounds of drinks and a round of shots to come out which was ordered by the manager (or shift leader) since we did not have a designated server. The manager/shift leader came to organize our bills. He did not seem concerned at all that we did not have a dedicated server and our bills were disorganized due to the lack of service. Yet again another server brought over the payment machine and proceeded to hover over us during payment. I honestly don’t even know who the tip was for because we saw a different server each time.

    Love the new location. Everything is better than yonge & dundas /yorkdale location (sorry lol). I've never been greeted with bubbly. Been to King St 2x since opening and greeted with bubbly. I'm not even a bubbly drinker lol but it's a VERY nice touch. All staff and managers etc 10*. Will only visit King St (if my choice lol). Only critique... mushroom app - give us more as it's a bit small for sharing cause its sooo delish. 😉

    We have been to Joey’s many times in Vancouver and other Joey locations in Toronto but Joey King West is definitely a step up. Fabulous ambiance and decor and they offer unique items not available on the regular Joey menu. Great service, very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive but not rushed. The spicy crab dip was a nice sharable appetizer. My only criticism was the wine. I selected a BOTTLE of Italian super Tuscan from the wine list. When it came out in a carafe I asked the server if I could see the bottle. She told me that it was “on tap”. Really?????? Have never experienced this before anywhere. And not surprisingly, it was sub par.
