In the heart of Orange County’s luxury shopping destination, Fashion Island, JOEY Newport Beach is an opulent oasis. The space features a gallery wall highlighting several hand-picked local artists and a unique Bocci light installation. Boasting 9,367 square feet, it includes an open patio which features a bar and retractable sections of roof, providing coverage and the ability to open to the day or evening sky. My second time here! The food is good but not great! Went to share some apps with my parents after work…One standard sushi roll is $23, tasted like a $17 roll. Steak French dip sliders were nice, could’ve use more cheese & flavor, but the meat was cooked to perfection. Fried cauliflower was very nice and one of my favorites with a nice Asian spice . Truffle parm fries are $15 and the amount they give to share with the table is criminal, should be twice the portion, but tasted nice, fresh and crispy nonetheless. They are more parmesan forward rather than truffle. Overall nothing to write home about. Will probably be back in the future for the vibes and to try another entree at some point, but the prices are about 10% too high for the quality/quantity you get

Been to Joey several times and the experience is consistently great - food and service. They paid attention to my table request and we had the perfect table with the perfect server. Our server, Jenny, couldn't have been better and the pace and quality of food were terrific. We will be back!

Joey has become one of my go-to spots. I can always count on amazing food, exceptional service, great music selection, and incredible vibes. This will definitely keep me coming back!

Julia went out of her way to get us an excellent table. Zack over exceeded expectations delivering high quality service with customer service excellence. He went out of his way to ensure that we had a meaningful and memorable first experience at Joey Newport Beach. I would recommend he and Julia for any guest who chooses to dine at this establishment Maintaining authenticity while serving clients is an art when present, should be valued and commended.

Food was great. We were seated at a high top near the outdoor bar, which was surprising, as I made the reservation fairly early. We asked for a different table and were given a high top near the inside bar. There was no indication when I made the reservation that it would be a high top. Service was fine. The music was definitely too loud for dinner conversation. Perhaps if we had been in a booth, it would not have been so loud. I know for next time to call and clarify the type of table we are getting.

The waitress was awesome!!! My daughter’s steak was on the rare side but other than that everything else was good.

We were celebrating my husband’s milestone birthday and the hostess confirmed this and said something special would be coming - I assumed a complementary dessert. However, the server never acknowledged our special occasion and nothing was done to mark the event. That was disappointing.
