Johnny Manhattan specializes in steaks, pizza and Italian cuisine. The classy and stylish interiors display classic and antique décor, including pendant lamps, ceiling lights, carpeted floors and a chandelier suspended from the center of the ceiling. The large windows let plenty of sunlight in, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for casual dining in spacious booths.

The tenderloin fillet, Nancy garlic bread stuffed with cheese, fresh fish, handcrafted pizzas and herb roasted chicken are signature items off the menu. The bar at Johnny Manhattans serves vintage, classic cocktails and a selection of beers to enjoy with appetizers. The restaurant also hosts private events and parties.

    As usual, the service at Johnny Manhattan’s was very good. Our server Jeanette was attentive and friendly. The lasagna my husband ordered was delicious as usual. I normally would order that as well but decided to try the Bolognese instead for a change of pace. Unfortunately, it was a bad decision. I have eaten Bolognese in many many Italian restaurants and none of it tasted like what I ordered. It was so heavily peppered. It was too spicy to eat. I ended up bringing it home and adding a jar of pasta sauce to water down the spice. We will definitely go back to Johnny Manhattan’s but just for the lasagna.

    Food and service were great. Really nice early evening dinner. We will hopefully return again soon.

    Fantastic diner! We started with Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer. It was five very large shrimp with a flavorful sauce. Excellent! Then there was bread and hour salads. Good sized salads and the Parmesan Peppercorn dressing was very good. Our entrees, full rack of ribs for my husband, and Rosa Linguini with tenderloin tips for me. Very generous portions and just wonderful flavor! We both took home leftovers. The service as great-timely without being rushed- and our server was very friendly and attentive. We love Johnny Manhattans and will definitely go back again and again!

    The food was overall very good. We had crab cakes (outstanding), bang shrimp (outstanding), haystack onion rings, escargot (mediocre as they seemed soft and tasted strong), and garlic bread (so garlicky and buttery) as starters. Main entrees included the bone in ribeye (best I’ve had in years), a filet(very good), ossso bucco (very good) Cesar salad, and spaghetti and meatballs. The only complaint was that the food was not very warm(actually cool) for a couple of us. Service was great. Waitress was sweet and accommodating for sure, just slower than ideal with having a small child with us as we celebrated my birthday. We were there from 6-8:15 which seemed a little excessive…starters and entrees but no dessert. Very happy with the experience. Prices are above average but not out of line in comparison to other restaurants of this nature.

    We each ordered steaks and all were perfect on temperature. Friendly, attentive staff (Jessica) but not at all over-bearing. Would definitely recommend.
