   Made reservations for 1:30 was told it would be a 30 min wait, ok cool we waited received text saying table was ready only to have been waiting an additional 15 mins before being seat. Think that was horrible placed order for food and wasn’t served until 1 hour later only for the food to be luke warm. I don’t mind paying a tip when service is indeed amazing but overall our waiter never checked on us but we paid gratuity.. do better

   This was our first time visiting Jocelyn’s, the food was fire and the service was as well!! This is a hidden gem, yall should go try it. R&B music and soul food…Best combination!! I’m definitely coming back❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

   It is a OKAY black owned restaurant. The food is simply mid and the ambiance is more party oriented than family atmosphere. It is small and the tables aren’t as large as the seating. The aim is more geared at hookahs and drinks which are really overpriced but strong. Overall it’s an experience I won’t miss out on if I don’t return. It’s a club that serves food. Not a restaurant that has a lounge after hours.

   Service was very disorganized took awhile for them to even take our order took even longer to get the food. Food came out out of order and I never received the drink I asked for and ultimately just asked for it to get taken off of my bill. My lady didn’t receive her sprite until after the food came out. Also they served us with plastic utensils while I saw other people using silver utensils. Our waitress was very nice and apologetic but I’m afraid that if gratuity wasn’t already added I would not have left a tip. Food was amazing so compliments to the chef and the manager was very active on the floor even stopping to check on us. I may return just for the food but overall my experience was much less than desired for the $120 I spent there.

   We had a reservation at 6:45pm on a Sunday. Seated immediately. Beware, only valet parking at $10. We overheard the waitress tell the table next to us they were out of pork chops, pot roast & cornbread. Disappointing. What's a soul food restaurant without cornbread? We ordered our food first as I read all the previous reviews that said the wait time was long. Started off with pot roast empanadas. Those were tasty with the gravy and came out quickly. We ordered the oxtails with rice and a side of gravy & greens, fried catfish with mac & cheese and asparagus, lobster mac & cheese, which is an entree, and fried chicken wings with yams and cabbage. All of the sides and the catfish were great! The chicken wings needed more seasoning. On the other hand, the lobster mac & cheese was very salty. Oxtails were ok. It took ~45 minutes for all the food to come out. We were still waiting on the cocktails at this time. Those eventually came after asking two different ppl. The waitress was friendly and a gentleman, who I assumed was the manager, kept checking on us. That was a nice touch. Overall, we would probably go again.

   Made a reservation for 8:15 and we didn’t sit down for almost 30 mins after our reservation time. As we standing in line you could hear the guy at the bar say they gone have to wait very rude. Then when we sat down at the table it took 30 mins for someone to come to us! The service was absolutely horrible. One of the waiters drop a glass next to our table and I piece of glass cut me on my foot! There was no apology or compensation at all just pure trash! The food was really good once we finally got it! This place really needs to step up the customer services.

   So I came here for my birthday. The place is definitely a vibe. My server Freddy was actually awesome. We made it at 5:47pm for my 6pm reservation. So I waited about 45 minutes for my first drink and water. Then we waited 2 hours for our food. We did leave until almost 9pm. The music is soooooooooo loud you can’t hear yourself think. Then after stating it’s loud they had the dj “turn it down” but it sound louder then before. Yes the food was good but it is NOOOOTTTTTTTTT worth waiting that long period of time. Like why is it sooooo ridiculously slow. The younger waiters that came into our section to finally hand us our food had attitudes.

   The ambience in the place was outstanding! When we walked in the music was amazing. It was a total vibe. I wanted to give five stars across the board, but I couldn’t and here’s why: I ordered the smothered pork chops with collard greens. They didn’t have either, which is why my food rating is what it is. They had only been open for a couple of hours, so I don’t understand how they were no smothered pork chops that early in the day! All of the food I saw coming out looked absolutely amazing. I ended up getting the jerk chicken wings, cabbage, macaroni and cheese. That macaroni and cheese will make you fight somebody! One of my friends had the jerk salmon. I don’t remember what my other friend had for her meal, but I do remember that we talked about the jerk so much that she got the jerk turkey wings to go for her meal the next day. We had great service with just a few hiccups, but our server was extremely professional in the way she handled them. We had a great time with her as well. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions. Shout out to the bartender! Every drink was amazing!
