Kembara is the latest project from Chef Angelo Sosa that embraces Asian street food cultures, exemplifying the tradition of cherishing time-honored recipes, while also playfully innovating upon familiar flavors and techniques for fresh takes.

The menu is an homage to Chef Sosa’s travels across Asia, with inspiration drawn from countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, China, Singapore and Japan.

Each dish is constructed around Chef Sosa’s concept of a “trinity of flavors”—a balance between sweet, sour and salty elements that culminate in a perfect bite of harmony.

    Food was very good! Really enjoyed!! We dined outside, it was lovely. Food coming out was a tad slow. Ordering was also a bit slow. Overall good experience!

    We were not really impressed with the food. Pictures on website don’t look like what was served. Too expensive for quality of dishes. The dishes just weren’t memorable. Service was good and ambience was comfortable.

    typical overpriced and under qualified staff hotel restaurant bar is slow and drinks are tiny and over priced manager never checked with us about our dining experience

    The food was disappointing. It seemed off balance like they had removed the heat without considering adjustments. The green papaya salad was too fish sauce tasting without the chili and the sambal crab was too tamarind tasting (needed the spice to balance). Service was slow from start to finish- waited in line at the hostess stand for 10 min with only three parties in front of us…waited ten minutes from being seated to have a server ask us for a drink order and same after completing the meal.

    The restaurant was not super full when we arrived, however we were taken to a 4 top that was broken into a 2 top as we sat at it. Super weird and unusual experience to have the table moved away from us as we sat at it. Extra weird is like 45 min later they sat a 2 top next to us… at the newly created 4 top. Very off putting and unpleasant experience. Service was slow. Our water glasses were filled twice before a server came by. And the glasses aren’t small. It was probably a good 10-15 minutes. Our server was polite but clearly under water. He rarely came by, especially to our little newly created 2 top in the corner that he couldn’t even reach appropriately. Our drinks ran dry throughout the meal, and our second round of cocktails came out AFTER our food was packaged to-go. The food was fine. Some was very good like the pork dumplings and the Khai Soi. Others were not great, like the pork belly noodles and the veggie spring rolls. All and all, about what you would expect but not at the price point. Recommend that you try most other l Asian places in the valley like Clever Koi, Glaj Blaan, or Lom Wong.

    The food was delicious, the staff was very accommodating, and we were seated outside so it wasn’t noisy at all. The heater outside didn’t work, but the staff attempted to fixed it multiple times. Overall a great time and would recommend. The food was slower to come out so plan accordingly if you are eating with kids like we were. Again did not take away from our experience, just a heads up. The food was worth it.
