The Kenji Omakase Experience is a multi-course menu created by the chef Matthew Nguyen, served at the sushi bar. There's limited seating Wednesday-Sunday with seatings at 5:45 and 8:30. All other guests are seated in the dining room with choice of table-side omakase or a la carte menu

A traditional Japanese experience which guests leave themselves in the hands of chef and receive a meal which is seasonal, elegant, artistic and uses the finest ingredients. The chefs will take you on a tour around the world with ingredients from the Toyosu market while also highlighting the dry aging program used only at Kenji

• We kindly decline requests to accommodate any dietary restrictions
• A 3.95% credit card fee will be added to all non-cash payments
• Service fee is added to parties of 6 or more
• Cancellations will only be accepted up to 24 hours prior to your reservation
• Any cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation will be charged $75 per person

This is the BEST sushi in Louisiana. Trust me; I love trying new sushi restaurants. What an incredible experience my husband and I had at Kenji Omakase. Chef Tu and Chef Vu were friendly, explained each course, and created some of the most flavorful and high-quality sushi my husband and I had ever eaten. The fish they used was delicious and fresh, and the preparation of each course was thoughtfully done. My husband and I each revisited multiple courses after the omakase was finished. It was an excellent place for my husband to spend his birthday, and they even put “Happy Birthday!” with my husband’s name at the top of our menus. I’m so excited to come back.

From the time you enter the building until the time you leave, you are embraced by the staff and chef with open arms. The meticulous attention to detail, the detailed explanation behind the “why” of every dish served and the seemless connection with both the chef and the staff. Kenji has done an impeccable job at creating an atmosphere that is truly unique.

The whole Omekase bar experience was top notch. We had a great time. Awesome meal and the chefs were super friendly. Highly recommend it.

The food and service were both exceptional. We really enjoyed interacting with the chefs and having the different dishes explained to us as they were served. The cocktail menu was also fantastic. The Hibiscus Haze was my favorite. We will definitely be back!

This was our second time coming to Kenji for the Omakase experience. The first experience was fantastic which is why we went back and this time we brought a friend from out of town to try it. We didn’t find the quality of the seafood near as good as good as our first time. One in our party got a hard piece of Cartledge in his bite and another person next to us spit out a piece of fish because it was chewy. There were a few bites including toro which I normally Iove that were a bit fishy tasting which means may not have been fresh while there were others that were really fabulous such as seabream. But for the price we paid I would expect consistency in quality and freshness and I am sad that our second experience was such a disappointment compared to our first. Especially since we brought a friend and raved about it the first time. Needless to say we will not be returning.
