Opening in the most extraordinary of times, Kent Rd Bistro was founded in June 2020 and has already become a local favourite. In true bistro tradition, the food is French and Italian inspired, modern Australian.

Owned and run by husband and wife team, Tim and Victoria Michels, Kent Rd Bistro offers guests a relaxed and inviting place to come and enjoy delicious fare in the beautiful surroundings of the two dining rooms.

A BYO restaurant, the menu changes regularly offering the best of in season produce with a classic, modern and warm dining experience. Chef Tim Michels has over 25 years’ experience as head chef at haute cuisine restaurants in Sydney, Hunter Valley and Brisbane. Together with maitre’d Victoria Michels who delivers the finest hospitality, the couple make a formidable team.

Tim and the entire team are a tribute to dining. Fresh take on modern Australia cooking, with a French inspiration. Just always a delightful evening.

Well presented, very delicious food. Lovely little restaurant, couple of groups made it somewhat loud but we got use to it. Definitely on our return list!

A great place to eat in all aspects and the special dishes are really special. If you want to enjoy that 15 year old bottle of wine you know you can't purchase at any restaurant, this is the place to go.

Kent Road Bistro is an amazing gem. Great food, fantastic service, cosy atmosphere and even better…it’s BYO. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals and were so impressed with the personal attention and care taken by the staff. Will definitely be back again.
