Kettner’s Townhouse is a restaurant and Champagne Bar with 33 bedrooms, in a historic Georgian building in London’s Soho.

Established in 1867 by Auguste Kettner, Kettner’s was one of the first restaurants in London to serve French food. The French restaurant at Kettner’s Townhouse has a menu inspired by the history of the building, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, using locally sourced ingredients from the UK.

Incredible. Fantastic service, amazing food and wonderful cocktails and wine. Love that you can get a carafe of wine. Brilliant will be coming back!

The focus for staff to upsell is too much. Every choice we made we were encouraged to go for something else. I ordered chicken because I wanted chicken, but was pushed by the waiter to go for the Porthouse - not what I wanted, not what I chose. Really too much and left a bad taste. Certainly won’t be going back for a long time! Silly and short sighted on their part

The ambiance was lovely—charming and cozy— and the Oysters were fantastic. It’s a beautiful spot with potential, but the slow service took away from the overall experience.

great service. The Maitre D moved us to a larger table to accommodate an unexpected guest, and the waiter was attentive and helpful and juast really good

Whilst we did have a great meal at Kettner’s they seemed to be out of quite a few things. Firstly they had no oysters. Then, upon beginning our order our waitress informed us that they only had 3 steak frites left and our party then had to decide who got them. It was a tad awkward. Maybe next time alert the guests before they begin ordering. Also I ordered a cocktail which I have had before called the picante and there was no alcohol or chili in it. They did correct it but it was strange as my friend who also ordered one had hers made properly. Overall it was a good meal and our waitress was very nice but a little disappointed with those 3 awkward moments…
