Established in 2020, King’s Fish House is San Jose’s choice for seafood. Located at the Westfield Valley Fair, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

Excelente opciones de ostiones, buena selección de cerveza. Me encanto la descripción de los platillos especialmente el origen del pescado. Muy agradable el ambiente, Si regreso a comer ahi.

We started with a lemon drop and Tumer Pils beer, which were very good. Followed with Dungeness crab cake full of fresh crab. Entrees included Mahi Mahi tacos and wild Mexican swordfish, which were very well prepared and tasty.

Really good variety of seafood and sides. We took our own wine bottle and they didn’t charge any corkage fee. The swordfish grill was better than most other place I have tried. The price of the dishes are extremely reasonable for the quality. Upscale dining at a great price point.

We went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday. Staff was incredibly sweet and checked in on us often. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant was unexpectedly busy for a Wednesday night, but the ambiance and noise levels were great. Would definitely come back again for the seafood platters and oysters!

Waitress took our order, served our appetizers, then 1.5 hrs later tried to bring us our check but we never received the entrees. The entrees were buried and they left the entire exoskeleton shell on the hrimp, including the head, in dishes where this is not customary.

Everything was hit-and-miss tonight. The fries were cold. We had to ask for just about everything - refills, condiments, etc. And it was an early dinner before it got crowded. Finished off the evening by being told we could only use one “bonus” gift card per visit (purchased from King’s Christmas promo) when we were told during our last visit we could use them together. All told, not quite the experience I would expect from a $75/per person dinner, especially when one has to make multiple visits to use their gift cards. Not the value proposition it appears up front.

Very happy with the service, and wonderful cocktails, but disappointed with food. The fish was cooked well, but the Mahi could have had more seasonin and a nicer crust (like you would find coming out of anyone's kitchen on Iceland), Brussels more char, the Mac and cheese warmer.
