    This was my first time at Kitchen Savages. I had a great experience. The owner was very attentive, and the food was amazing. Definitely check it out.

    It was obvious they had not planned well for the holiday. There was one person serving all the tables and it was packed. The owner was helping out but there were a lot of unhappy patrons. The owner did hear our feedback and I hope he took it into consideration moving forward. This is an establishment you really want to love but there are structural and functional issues that need to be quickly addressed

This spot is a welcome and much-needed reprise for the neighborhood — bold, flavorful, and full of soul. The food? Rich in every sense. From the indulgent mains to the decadent sides, each dish is crafted with intention and unapologetic flavor. You don’t come here for light fare — you come here to eat well, and leave full and happy. Service was just as memorable. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, the staff made the experience feel more like being hosted than being served. The energy in the room reflects a team that loves what they do — and it shows. Whether you're a longtime local or venturing east of the river for the first time in a while, Kitchen Savages is worth the trip. This place isn’t just serving food — it’s making a statement. And it's one Anacostia can be proud of.

    Everything was served with love! The food was exceptional and the Owner made sure he took care of his Chi-town guest! Definitely will be back whenever I visit the DC area!

    This was my second visit and the food and service was just as good as the first time. I had the seafood grits and they were delicious!

    The owner was short staff however, we did not feel or see the difference in the food quality, taste or service. I highly recommend Kitchen Savages.
