The service from entry to exit seemed ambivalent. For an extended period of time, there was no one at the hostess stand to greet guests. We were sitting near the entry, so we could see the repeated huddle of guests continuing to wait for long periods after we waited. Once seated, the waitress was rushed and kept rushing off before we could ask for a drink, an appetizer, etc. We had to ask the host for a forgotten drink order as the waitress was invisible. We asked about an appetizer, and the description seemed small (cheese plate), but it was enormously generous, and we ended up over-ordering. The cheese plate was presented as a basic, massive hunk of cheese with some jam on the side + some toast. The entrees took a disproportionate time to arrive after the cheese plates. The entrees were "fine" but blunt for the price point. We had to hunt someone down to take our check so we could leave. We have never seen a 3% kitchen charge on a check before on the food charge. It seemed like a hidden price adjustment.

This is a beautiful restaurant and we really wanted to love brunch there. We sent our visiting daughter and son in-law for brunch the Sunday after Thanksgiving and they had a lovely experience and good service. We did not. It took more than ½ hour for our coffee/ tea and the wait got worse after that. Omelets and a quiche( which our friend sent back) took another 30 -45 min. No explanation given. It just seemed off. No spoons either to stir coffee… just kind of weird experience there.

My bacon and onion omelette had a wonderful rich texture with tiny green onions in the eggs. The bacon was crispy with thick chunks on top. The small round potatoes were cut in half and browned. No butter or jam was brought with my toast but I liked the dense wheat bread. The restaurant is beautiful with white marble counters. The chairs were extremely worn with the vinyl missing in large areas. I was afraid of snagging my pants. Seating for 2 was too close to others.

The food is really delicious, every dish better than the other. But the service was terrible, we waited more than 40 minutes to get a table, the dessert also took forever.

The service was really great, The waiter was very attentive and made excellent recommendations.. The atmosphere at this restaurant is absolutely great.

We made lunch reservations for a party of 8 to celebrate my daughter’s college graduation . There was a very large party in a private room and 6-8 other tables seated. There were only 2 servers for the entire restaurant. Needless to say they could not do an adequate job . The food was mediocre but with fine dining prices. Food and drink service was slow. We had heard a lot of hype about high demands for dinner reservations but were left disappointed on a special occasion
