    This is an impeccable dining experience with an authentic French flavour. You can tell through the taste of the food, its fresh, quality produce. Better still, it’s cooked to perfection. As a lover of steak, I honestly would say this is the best I’ve ever had. Across 4 people, French onion soup, calamari, prawns, salmon tartare, steak, duck, stuffed chicken, crème brûlée and basque cheesecake, were unbelievably good. An excellent wine list, with lots of French varietals and cocktails to match any food choice. The ambience is just perfect, beautiful music, French artefacts and a bar made from French champagne boxes made for a great dining experience. Service was attentive, calm and in control. Lots of free parking nearby and no hurry with time limits. A fantastic pre-Christmas family dinner, thanks to La Boucherie. We will be back! Cheers, Rob S.

    We had a fabulous birthday dinner there, the service was fantastic and only exceeded by the deliciousness of the food.

    We cannot fault the food at La Boucherie. It was absolutely beautiful. However, coming for a holiday, having just driven 6 hours. and having booked online, and confirming my booking- I was a little upset to attend to my booking (with 7 of 8- our 8th guest was unwell), the lady (I’m assuming manager or owner) telling me I booked for 10 and I should’ve called and told them I was only bringing 7…. I booked for 8. And I cannot control if someone is unwell last minute. It set a negative tone for the dining experience from that moment. So we hurried and didn’t bother with desert or anything as it felt like, with my four children, she didn’t want us there anyway. My kids were very well behaved and sat quietly and patiently. We were also right next to the kitchen and could hear the waiter yelling at the chefs and slamming plates down loudly in frustration.

We understand last-minute booking changes can be unpredictable, but kindly request notification to optimise seating especially during these challenging economic times. We regret any misunderstanding and assure you that our intention was not to make you feel unwelcome. Our Floor Manager offered an extra chair for your child's comfort, which was declined. We acknowledge concerns about the kitchen atmosphere, recognising occasional tensions may arise. From my (owner) vantage point at the bar, I observed that your party wasn't rushed. The initial misunderstanding seemed to set a negative tone. Thank you for your feedback. We invite you to return and enjoy a complimentary dessert for the whole family.

    Always an amazing dining experience. Authentic food. Great personal service. We are regulars and this time had friends that had not been. They agreed, for a great experience it really is outstanding. The steak tartare is perfection and the wine selection and recommendations are great.

    This was our 3rd visit to La Boucherie (the last 2 visits were more than a year ago). Sadly, while the service and the steaks were top quality, the rest of the food was disappointing relative to what we had come to expect after the first 2 experiences. The $90 lobster tails were very tough and felt overcooked (2 people in our party order this and both said the same). The Confit duck was also overcooked. The sides and entrees were good but not the 'excellent' we had experienced previously. $30 per kids meal was also excessive but I understand they may need to do this to make up for a seat that could be otherwise used for a full paying adult. On the upside the steaks were some of the best we've ever had, and the wait staff looked after us very well.
