Our sensational new restaurant offers the highest standards of Italian cuisine at “The Point” in Astley. With our comprehensive menu including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, we aim to please everyone with traditional favourites or classic food specially prepared by our Head Chef using local suppliers.

No expense has been spared offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a traditional table set up or booths for larger groups of diners. If you prefer a private party, we have a room with bar facilities to accommodate you and your guests. The restaurant and kitchen are brand new and designed with atmosphere in mind to give you an open plan dining experience second to none.

Lovely place for a family celebration and the food and service was great once we had finally sat down….one thing that was annoying - we had met in the central bar area beforehand and bought drinks - when it was our booking time we went to walk through the adjoining door to the restaurant and were jumped on immediately by security in high vis who turned us round as he told us we had to finish our drinks before we could go into the restaurant. The way it was handled made us feel like we had done something wrong which wasn’t great - no where does it say you can’t take drinks though with you so be aware!!

Great food and atmosphere, recommend Bruschetta pomodoro starter and penne arrabbiata. Great potions and delicious. Fantastic atmosphere, staff are brilliant.

Went for my wife's birthday, first visit to the place and was more than happy with the experience. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Very busy Saturday after valentines. Service attentive yet rushed. Food was quite poor. Starter N’Duja cheese crostini was fair if not unimaginative. Mains ordered the penne fillet beef and goats cheese of which was very bland and unexciting..steak was pale and seemed as though it had been sliced with a spoon and goats cheese nowhere to be seen.. partner had the sea bass linguine I believe but again very bland(she needed to add lots of seasoning and the bass yet again was playing hide and seek. Few small chunks..we asked to see the dessert menu to try to applaud the place somehow..but unfortunately same story apart from the tiramisu it was the same old lifeless dessert list eg brûlée, brownie etc..your an Italian restaurant..where’s the Italian influence on desserts..it’s a shame ..service held it together but won’t be going again as second poor performance has killed it.

Disappointed with the fact we got shoved in the corner and they got us in and out in 30 mins , everything was rushed our starters came before out first drink .

Celebrated my 60th birthday with my family last night, had a lovely round table, at 5:45pm on a Saturday, couldn't believe how busy it was, it was our first visit. The restaurant is part of Astley Point, a venue with four restaurants and a bar. On arriving we got a really friendly welcome and shown to our table, soon offered drinks, ordering a few bottle Pinot Grigio, follows by the menus. We have various garlic breads to start followed by main course, mostly past, with one ordering sea bass, the food was tasty, well presented, a good portion and hot. We didn't have dessert as the restaurant very kindly let my sisters deliver a birthday cake in advance. The atmosphere was great, the team amazing and the bill very reasonable, thanks for looking after us, Keith
