   Nos encantó la comida, nos atendió un Colombiano, no recuerdo su nombre, pero fue excelente su servicio y sus recomendaciones.

   La Connessa is always a delight but last night's dinner was off. We three ordered the pasta a limon ... there was no lemon flavor, no black pepper in the dish just white pasta with a bit of sauce ... really bland. We asked for more parmesan were given a small little dish ... not even enough to help one of us. We were disappointed with the dish that has always been my favorite. The appetizers were excellent but that dish was way off and I had recommended it to my two friends.

   Very pleasant ambiance. The wait staff was very attentive. The salad of asparagus and burrata $23.00 was wet and tasteless. The pizza Bianco was poor- flavorless, poorly made and tough. If you cant make a great crust you shouldn't be selling pizza. The pasta bolognese wasn't nice- very good noodle quality. The restaurant's wine service was very good.

   The deep pockets of the Bacchus group (who own Spruce and The Village Pub among others) are on full display when you enter La Connessa and behold the impressive 2 story bar. The food also impresses with solid wood fired oven pizzas, excellent pastas and, on my visit, a fantastic whole pan seared Branzino. Dessert highlight was the apple tart with a perfect, light crusty. House made gelatos, though, were slightly grainy. Service is warm and the restaurant has a great ambiance. Not as formal as Spruce or the Village Pub, it’s also not as expensive. Wine lust is excellent.

   Food and service was amazing, they took great care of us with quality food, wine, and a special letter for our anniversary! I totally will comeback and recommend it to others

   We came here for Easter brunch and, to our surprise, the food was genuinely fresh and delicious. We ordered from the Easter pre-fixe menu and enjoyed every dish. The two gentlemen working behind the bar were an absolute delight attentive, friendly, and they crafted some fantastic cocktails. Although we had a reservation, we chose to sit at the bar instead. Why? Because the hostess sat us at a cramped two-top directly in the middle of the dining room, just a few feet from the entrance essentially in a high-traffic zone. It felt more like a placeholder than a thoughtfully assigned table. When we mentioned we’d prefer to move, she made no effort to offer an alternative or even pretend to care. Her exact response when I expressed my dissatisfaction? “I know. I wish there was something I could do.” Mind you, there were clearly other tables available and we watched her seat two walk-ins at a booth moments later. Frankly, the hostess was dismissive and cold, which soured an otherwise lovely brunch. Her demeanor was so off-putting that by the end of our meal, I deliberately waited until she was away from the host stand to leave, just to avoid a forced goodbye. Would we return? Absolutely not even if it were the last restaurant standing in San Francisco. The kitchen and bar staff deserve praise, but the front-of-house experience left a lasting, bitter impression.

   It was good, not great but not bad either. Prob wouldn’t return but it wasn’t a bad experience

   Rudy was our waiter and he was very thorough with describing the menu to us since it was our first time. We were a party of two but really enjoyed the food and experience. The dessert really stole the show the chocolatehazelnut cake thing was fantastic and so was the apple pie/tart. Overall an amazing place to eat for a birthday or fancy date/event
