Newly opened in the autumn of 2015, La Rive is the latest project from French Chef Eric Payet and his team.
The restaurant brings Modern French Mediterranean cuisine to Cobham, with both the décor and the menus creating an exciting mix of the old and the new, with influences of Provence throughout.

This restuarant is closed.. Although took my booking.. Bit of a shock to arrive, for special birthday celebrations.. To see empty .. Pay car park! Why is this still listed on this site? Not impressed with 'open table' NB have to put a rating in.. before allow to submit! Zero rating as non existent!!

Even though I had confirmation of booking The restaurant was closed. Total waste of the journey to get there. Not impressed

Superb fine dining experience in a stunning conservatory. The perfect birthday meal for my girlfriend. Great service, polite and never intrusive. Already booked a return visit.

After a bit of a palaver with booking (they can be difficult to reach by phone!) we had a genuinely lovely dinner for my father's birthday. The menu is short but excellent (go for La Carte, it's great value for a tasting menu) but I would say this plays to their advantage in terms of fresh ingredients and the care taken over each dish - the food is fresh and delicious. We especially loved the little canapés between each course. The room we were in was divine, with flowers on the ceiling and huge windows looking into a tranquil garden - small, but never felt cramped or loud. The service was wonderful. We haven't been to the restaurant since it changed from a fish restaurant a few years back, but would definitely go again.

So bad!!! Such a bad service, very bad and not tasty food! Way to expensive. Look like they soon will close down.

Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday. Chose the four course option, with a couple of extra courses thrown in by the chef. Food was superb. Service was good, although a little too fast - felt like there wasn't much time between courses. Beautiful setting.

The food was fantastic, additional canapes and extras between courses. For quality of food represents very good value for money Small wine list but catered for every budget.

Despite the staff trying very hard our visit was very disappointing. It was a Saturday night yet there were so few customers they sat us all in the conservatory not the main restaurant. The menu was very limited, we went A la carte which had a set price of £55 a head yet three of the dishes carried a supplement. There were 3 of us and the bill was £318, we had a bottle of Gavi de Gavi and an aperitif each - very expensive! It's a real shame as Cobham and Esher needs more special restaurants for special occasions.
