La Strada Italian Kitchen and Bar, located in downtown Birmingham, is an authentic Italian Restaurant opened by Restaurateur and Chef Zharko Palushaj in late 2015. He began developing his concept in 2013 when he was named Restaurateur of the year by Hour Magazine. The menu features top quality of Italian/European products, variation of aged and fresh cheeses, salumis, pizzas, in-house made pasta, fish and seafood flown from all over the world. We also include top American beef and poultry , classic desserts and gelato. As our Chef-Owner's philosophy states, "Old world meets New world, where quality meets preparation and European style service meets expectations of the guests". Passion, quality, attention to details, and most importantly dedication to his wonderful guests make La Strada a world of its own. To serve you is a real privilege and pleasure!

Hard to find good Italian food that is not bland. From the bread to dessert everything was amazing. Service was great as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale Italian experience.

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for the last year numerous times. But not once have we had anything but a five star experience. This is perhaps the best kept secret in all Of birmingham. The food is absolutely amazing. Service has been top-notch. And whenever there’s been any issue of any sort, the owner chef immediately comes out and takes care of it and deals with it. We are frequent diners in patronize, Casa Pernoi, Tullah , Bellapiatti, Adachi, Forest Grill and others. So this review comes from experience from a variety of restaurants. If there was one thing that could be modified it would be the bright lighting in the main dining room.

The best service we've had at any restaurant. Top notch. The food was awesome. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The olive oil was some of the best I've had. The desserts was just as good as the entree. Well worth the visit.

The restaurant service is excellent, and the food fantastic. The only thing missing is the ambience. They should take the upcharge of the food and invest it in the restaurant furniture and decor. It feels like a 1990's Home Goods store, not complimenting the price for the food. If you are going to charge that much, make it worth the while and upend the entire restaurant experience.

Went for dinner with old friends we had not seen in months. The food was absolutely fantastic. We had calamari, coarse salad and bruschetta as appetizers. Then the Tre Colores salad. Our guests had the Flagstar salad, which they said was heavy in garlic. Our salad was very good. I had the lasagna, my wife had the rigatoni bolognese. We both cleaned our plates. Our guests had the salmon and the sea bass specials and raved about their meals. We will be back.

Food and service was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves and would go back. They could put some money into the decor and furnishings.. Our table was literally a folding table with a tablecloth.

We are waiting for a couple of marble-top tables to be installed, but in the meantime, we sometimes have to use folded tables.
