Lapeer is a chef inspired Steak and Seafood concept with a boutique coastal vibe setting located in the heart of the Historic downtown Alpharetta.

The menu will include premium cuts of beef including prime, certified Angus, America Wagyu and reserved dry aged steaks. Our seasonal approach will have a mixture of classic, yet innovative creations as well as some steakhouse staples. We source our fresh seafood and day boat fish from the gulf and east coast and offer a regular rotating selection of fresh oysters.

A well balanced by the glass list with a focus on new world varietals. An extensive reserve list driven by full bodied California cabs and red blends, backed with a solid mix of old world Italian and French varietals.

We learned of this restaurant from Eater as we were searching for a place to go for our anniversary that was not in downtown Atlanta and that we hadn’t been to before. We were pleasantly surprised! The exterior is unassuming but once inside, there was a warm and lively ambiance with lots of laughter, chatter and warm lighting. Our server, Errol, was superb! He was friendly, welcoming, personable and engaging. He made suggestions and gave advice. He exemplified ALL of the qualities one would want in someone who is in the service industry. The food selections were delectable …beginning with the warm sesame rolls, fresh raw oysters, calamari like none I’ve had before with togarashi spice, crispy whole Bronzino with fingerlings that melts in your mouth’ Delmonico ribeye cooked to perfection, frites royale, roasted mushrooms and a currant cake for dessert courtesy of Errol. The cocktails we chose were flavorful and prepared by a talented mixologist…peychauds plane, sidecar, the lady in orange, passenger princess. I highly recommend Lapeer and will definitely return. My only complaint is that it was chilly in the extended portion of the restaurant where we were seated. We requested alternative seating but the hostess had difficulty arranging this request for some reason. I’m glad she did because we would not have met Errol.

The food was great. The broccolini in scallion oil was amazing. The hanger steak has tender and flavorful and the fries were amazing

The oysters were amazing, the steaks were very well prepared and the espresso martini should NOT be missed.

We were 6 people for a birthday celebration. The food is top quality so the prices are warranted. We had 2 people at the table who eat gluten free due to Celiac Disease and they take that very seriously. Everything that they brought to the table they told us if we could eat it and if there was the potential for cross contamination in case we wanted to share. Our server Skylar was great. As busy as she was we never had to wait too long for her to come around to check on us. I would definitely go back.

Overall good experience. However, we had one meal with a tough piece of tuna. Rather than take it away, the waiter sent the manager. The manager took it away and then returned to say that the chef agrees and they are making another one. What if the chef didn’t agree? Why didn’t the waiter simply take the tuna away? Made a production out of a complaint that could have been handled quietly. Also, we ordered a $150 bottle of Far Niente Chardonnay. They were out of it. The next closest wine was a Groth for $60, nothing in between. The Groth was OK, but not as good as a FN, The rest of dinner was good, service was good, and the tuna replacement was good. Will go back, just some room for improvement.
