LATHA, Swahili for flavor, celebrates Africa and the diaspora’s rich and diverse cuisines. The menu curated by Executive Chef Digby Stridiron honors the interconnected journey of the foodways and culture of Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean, and the Southern United States. Our contemporary pan-African kitchen respects historical recipes and crafts cuisine from thoughtfully sourced seasonal ingredients that reveal the connections between Africa and the diaspora. It is a journey of discovery along the trails of our ancestors, telling the authentic stories of the foodways and how they have shaped eating habits and cuisine worldwide. We invite guests to join us on a flavorful journey of discovery and appreciation. LATHA, in downtown Phoenix, in Heritage Square, is a place to have a shared immersive experience with friends or family while enjoying food, drinks, music, and culture in our dining room, bar, or outside patio. As a collective, we EAT, DRINK, and VIBE!

Phenomenal experience with exceptional food! The vibe is real… Really amazing, eclectic, full of soul and lots of flavor! The hospitality makes you feel like family especially when the owner comes to greet you personally. Highly recommend treating yourself to the live entertainment by visiting Friday and Saturday or Sunday for brunch. Can’t wait for our next time! PS-The oxtail grilled cheese will change your life!

this still stands to be one of my most favorite restaurants in Phoenix. The combination of flavors is unmatched and every time I come, I find another dish that I am newly in love with. Can’t wait to return like always.

We had an amazing experience at Latha. From the customer service, the live music with Coco, the food, and the entire vybe we had was hands down the best experience. We were presented with African Day name bracelets for our birthdays. The SOKO market was so vibrant with colors and handmade products that we will definitely come back to shop gifts for the holiday! What a gem!!!

Wonderful place for a birthday celebration. The staff made you feel like you were entering their home. The decor was beautiful and inviting. The wait staff gladly answered any questions you had. I definitely will return

The place was amazing and so welcoming 🫶🏽 The food was delicious! I had the whipped goat cheese, awaze chicken, and pound cake . Everything was so good and well prepared. The customer service was top tier. I’ll definitely be back.

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!! Allll the vibes! I cannot say enough great things about our evening at Latha. We celebrated our anniversary here and everything was incredible! The hospitality and energy from the staff and owners is amazing! The decor, culture and ambiance is a whole vibe! And the food was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend trying this restaurant and we will definitely be back! Thank you Latha team for a special anniversary celebration!
