Laurus Melbourne is the embodiment of modern Chinese dining through an Australian lens brought to you by a team with decades of hospitality experience. With a focus on progressive Southern Chinese cuisine, the menu evokes a blending of two cultures, showcasing experimental and bold flavour combinations.

The Laurus experience pays respect to tradition and promotes a harmony with both nostalgia and the new, akin to the ancient Chinese philosophy of ying and yang. Good food, poor service. We had an 8 pm booking as I expected to finish work late. An example - waiting staff came after mains cleared and dropped off the desert menu. We wanted to order something but unable to attract attention of anyone. 9:30 pm - finally someone appeared - sorry kitchen closed now. Not a great note to finish on!

The banquet meal was well worth the price. Each food item was flavourful and delicious. The service was excellent.

Good stuff: the wagu was yum Bad stuff: espresso martini’s need a lot of work!! Overall nice dining experience. My group struggled a little with the chilli oil. Good service.

Eggplant was not consistence. Few stick were too hard and some of them were cooked. They looks frustrating to managing the dietary request. We informed them when we make the booking and ask us same or smilier question four time even I informed them when we arrived. Food was not special over priced cocktails and tea was very intense because they didnt remove the tea leafs and leave them without refile the water. Floor team kind but thats all not fine service. Food was just average in cbd but definitely overpriced. Not was too bad but its not craving food or amazing service. Average restaurant but pricy.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you did not have a good time here at Laurus. We do take allergy requirements on a very serious way that is why our staff double checked more then ones. We wanted to be 100% sure that we were meeting all dietary requirements. Great dinner date spot, nice atmosphere with a great vibe about the place. Foods pretty great, we went an order one piece of a quite a few things so we could try the lot. Worked out cheaper than the banquet but I think if ur up for it that would be a great shout. The service was great, was my gf’s birthday an they were a treat to her. Glass of champagne, free desert with a candle in it. Went above and beyond talking to us an giving us a great night out.

The banquet option was such an excellent choice - got to taste a piece of everything and the food was superb. Beautiful presentation and wonderful staff service.
