They say you eat with your eyes first. Lazia, our Italian restaurant in the Arts District, together with Heidmann Art Salon, introduces Appetite for Art: A night for those who crave creativity. This evening, art will be on your plate, in the gallery, and around the table. An experience to remember. Start with a sip of amaro as you wander Lazia’s hidden gallery, where the Heidmann’s thematic collection invites you to venture into a new perspective. Then, wander the candle-lit dining room for a progressive, roaming menu that echoes the night’s theme - bold, intentional, and just a little adventurous. After grabbing a few bites and bevs, slip into a seat for cocktails and conversation with friends. With a setting this active, art sneaks into every corner of the evening. For the first edition, theme L’AVVENTURA sets the scene - an exploration of risk, discovery, and the beauty of the spontaneous. Expect the unexpected! Outstanding as always - the cocktail bar outside of the restaurant has a great vibe and is a pleasant way to start the evening. We were greeted with a taste of house made Amaro. The manager was very informative (but not at all pushy, super cool) and helpful. The food was superb; wagyu carpaccio and the duck dish were particularly outstanding. This is probably the best restaurant we have been to in the metro. We will be back as soon as we can be. Book it - you’ll be glad you did!

Service was awful. Our server wasn’t around much at all, never asked if we enjoyed anything, and was not very helpful. Another server (male) was more helpful when he delivered our main courses. The ambience looks like a distressed WWII era European dining room that had been destroyed and not properly repaired. Lighting was bad and there was either no manager or it was the girl in a jacket who slipped into the hallway to check her phone but never came by to check on our table and see how terrible the service was. We spent over $400 for four of us and were happy with the food and upset about the overall experience. Many of the dishes were good to great, but some seemed completely off the mark. The Lasagna was awesome. Foccacia was very good. Ravioli was excellent. Agnolotti was very good. Arancino was great, but not ideal for four to share (again, service was nonexistent). I wanted to like it but I didn’t and I spent over $500 between an Uber, food, tax, & tip. It wasn’t worth it.

Everything was amazing, the food, service, drinks etc. I would strongly recommend giving this place a shot if you have not tried it already. We went with a group of 8 and we had a fantastic time!

Pasta was great! The Old Fashioned perfect and the sweet potato zabagilone was a wonderful ending to our evening.
