    My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lobster dinner which was perfectly prepared and to our pleasant surprise was served by the senior bartender, Gretchen, who continues to impress for her versatility and great demeanor. Be sure to try Legal’s great selection of fresh oysters which are fresh and nicely shucked and presented. Also be sure to make a reservation as weekend crowds can be large.

    Our server nice was very nice and attentive. Our only small issue was one of the shrimp had a hair on it.

    My only issue is that apparently there is a policy that is you arrive early you have to wait to be seated at your reserved time despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We arrived at 5:15 and asked if we could be seated early. Our reservation was for 5:30..The hostess said we would have to wait despite the restaurant being very empty. I had to persist that if I walked in without a reservation I would be seated. I understand if the restaurant was busy but it was not. We come to this location all the time. She eventually seated us. The hostess should have the discretion to meet the needs of the customer, especially in an empty restaurant. I know that she was just following policy but really???? I should not have to get annoyed just asking to be seated 15 minutes early in an empty restaurant. This also happened 2 weeks ago.....so this was not a one time thing. The hostess was very professional and seems to be just following policy.

    Food was good, not great. Clam chowder was very good, but served lukewarm which was disappointing. Shrimp ceviche was tasty but served in a small tortilla bowl that was weird to break apart & eat with the ceviche inside it. The tortilla quickly turned to mush. The ceviche would be better served with chips on the side. Fried scallops, fries, and cole slaw was served in a metal fry basket making it awkward to cut the scallops without being on a plate. Finally, there was one server for all the tables in the restaurant, meaning he was handling at least 12 tables at once. Service was good but we waited several minutes to be served drinks, have our order taken and for the check. I expect better service & food when paying Legal prices.

    Service was slow, hostess was rude upon arrival. Waited a long time for our food only to receive a burnt lobster roll which was mid at best. Normally this place is great. I’ll stick to the one in the airport from here on out.

    We had a great time my problem is With OpenTable I initially had an appointment for 2 people but changed it to 4 but when I changed it why did OpenTable give me a later time not only did they give me a later time but 30 mins before the restaurant closes WOW legal seafood accommodated us we respect and not rushing we had to place orders and drinks at multiple because of last call due to them about to close OPENTABLE really disappointed with them on my 20th year wedding anniversary
