In Provence, a region in southeastern France, “Lou Pécou” is the term for the peduncle, or stalk, that holds a cluster of fruit. Our grandparents taught us that when in the kitchen, you must start with the freshest and finest of ingredients. They had a unique way of feeling and picking lou pécou, to know if the fruit and vegetable is local, ripe, and fresh. We look forward to passing you these traditions and learnings through our pizzas.

The pizza was a little dry, so maybe over cooked. It was pretty expensive for what it was.

We were actually very pleased with our meal and service until we got home and I was looking at the receipt. We had the Suppli which the waitress said come with 4 pieces. Since we were 3, she said “But you can have 6 if you’d like”. We said sure we’ll do 6. I figured there would be an additional charge but I was shocked when I realized after that she charged us for 2 full orders. If that was the case she should have offered to bring us a double order (NOT 6)! I feel like that is cheating and stealing since she charged us for food we didn’t get. Really soured me on our experience overall.

This is not reflective of our standard practice. We certainly understand your frustration and we sincerely apologize for the confusion. We would be grateful if you could please give us a call or email at your earliest convenience, so we can address this specific issue for you. We have several new staff members who are still learning our point-of-sale system and how to process menu modifications for guest requests, and it sounds like a genuine human error occurred in this instance rather than anything intentional. Lou Pecou food is top notch. They don't have any sense of service times it varies across as at peak hours they also do cater to food ordering apps while waitingfor order sitting. Service waitress do get overwhelmed at peak hour and will be of little help 🙃 if you ask for any customization of existing dish so menu remains intact per se. Reservations are a must. Seating arrangements are close by so noise is off the charts if happen to have table near a large group. Delicious, hot and fresh food 😋.

Fantastic pizzeria and overall restaurant!! The pizza is excellent - great sauce and dough, with a good chew, and nice mix of classic and inventive ingredients, all of an excellent caliber; the salads and apps are also delicious and well done. The service is excellent and the chef, Cédric Toullec, is friendly, making for an inviting and warm environment. We went as a family of three with our ten year old, but it had a good mix date nights, friends, families, etc... I highly recommend it!!!

Read about Chef Cedric in our local paper, making the top 100 pizza chefs in the world, so we had to come. When he heard my sister was from Italy, he made the sign of the cross, knowing he had to make sure it was up to Italian standards. lol He was very gracious, visiting tables to chat with patrons. Service was great. Chef Cedric and his staff were wonderful and best of all, the pizza was amazing....even my Italian sister thought so! Will definitely return,when we are back in Halifax!

Always the best! Our favourite Neighbourhood spot. Best food, great wine list and friendly service. Never Disappoints!

One of my all time favourite pizza experiences! Partner and I had the meatballs (divine) and the fennel salad to start. Tried their Vivante pizza which was very unique (included strawberry jam - first for me on pizza, pistachios, a garlic pesto, and taleggio cheese). The vivante looked liked a work of art, and tasted amazing. Also tried the Lou Fada pizza which was a hearty classic Italian pizza that offered a lot of satisfaction. Cocktails are really nice too! The chef and staff were all very welcoming, and we saw the chef going table to table and asking how everyone’s experience was going. Great restaurant that puts a lot of effort into their food and dining experience, and can’t wait to go in again!

This was our first time there, and we will definitely be back! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The dishes took no time to arrive - the Don Camillo pizza, meatballs in tomato sauce and déesee verte salad were all outstanding! Can't wait to bring friends to this gem!
