Lumen Detroit at Beacon Park offers a unique dining experience in the heart of the city, blending modern architecture with a vibrant park setting. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and one of Detroit's largest outdoor patios, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor ambiance. Guests can enjoy seasonally inspired Modern American cuisine, craft cocktails, and an extensive bar selection, whether on the rooftop or by the cozy outdoor firepits. With its lively atmosphere and picturesque views of Beacon Park, Lumen is the perfect spot for any occasion.

We offer valet parking for $15 Wednesday-Sunday. There is also metered street parking available on a limited basis. Please note that reservations will be held for 15 minutes, after which they are subject to cancelation. We allot 2 hours per table for dining, after which we may ask for your table. Due to the possibility of inclement weather our patio tables are available on a first-come first-served basis.

    Our heated, full-service Private Chalets are currently available for reservations and can accommodate groups of up to 10. Please note that all Private Chalet reservations are subject to a $35 per person food and beverage minimum (tax & gratuity not included) which is due at the time of booking. This $35 per person charge will be deducted from the bill the night of your reservation. All Private Chalet reservations are allotted 2 hours for dining, after which we may ask for the table. Because of limited availability and high demand, your 2-hour time begins at the time of your reservation. A 20% gratuity may be added to ALL Chalet reservations. Chalet Reservations are refundable up to 48 hours in advance, after which all sales are final.

    I rented one of the private chalets outside for a special occasion. Let me start off by saying the service was incredible and the staff were so friendly and kind! They always checked up on us, even though it was freezing out! The chalet is cute and has a heater but the tables and chairs are metal so if you’re already cold it’s tough to warm up. The vibes are cute though. The food on the other hand was very mediocre, nothing special. Truffle fries were great. The sea bass was not seasoned and the pasta with salmon was tasty but nothing special. Overall, the service was great but the food didn’t wow us :/

    Chelsea was our server, and she did a spectacular job in making our event even more fun. We were in an outdoor igloo and had lots of fun. The heat was a problem, but Chelsea and rest of staff did a good job solving that issue. The food was outstanding. We have been here many times and will continue to visit this restaurant,

    As always, the food and service were outstanding! We had 6 people in a chalet, and it was fantastic!

    This is my second time dining at Lumen detroit! And just like the first time it was worth it! I brought my mom for her birthday along with some family members who's first time it was and they left with full belly's and a smile on there face, nothing was sent back, nothing was under or over cooked. Everything was perfect from appetizer to dessert and even the drinks were great! And most importantly our server Ms. Brianna was phenomenal! Will definitely recommend !

    Well priced and great quality. I dine at an above average amount of top-tier restaurants and this is an excellent choice to not break the bank, have a great atmosphere and a well appointed menu. The craft cocktails were moderately priced and exceeded expectations. Shrimp florentine was quite good, lacking a bit of salt, however, that is personal preference. The service was excellent. If there is a negative, and take this lightly, it was a little loud. I had to dig deep to give any detractions. Highly recommend.

    Overall a wonderful experience. Our server was excellent as was the food. Only dinging this one star because we were in one of the Chalets and it was insanely hot. Kudos for having a very good hearing system but I had to put my jacket in front of the vent most of the time or we kept the door open to let cool air in. Also would have been nice to have the main restaurant music in there - I put my Spotify on my phone to add some background music. Also, while small in dollars, paying a fee to make a reservation seemed ridiculous. Most reservations with a fee only charge them when you don't show up. Basically paid an extra $8 for nothing.

    I went with 2 girlfriends for the first time. The ambience both on the outside and the inside were beautiful with the white lights & simplicity. The salmon dish was amazing with a delicious combination of sides. Our server was fantastic giving us adequate time to catch up before ordering but also very attentive. I look forward to going back with my husband.
