Mägo is a family owned and operated fine dining restaurant from Chef Mark Liberman. We offer an exciting tasting menu cooked over wood fire, offering our take on Contemporary Colombian fare, anchored in an understanding of using Northern California ingredients, simple flavors in bold combinations.

Our tasting menu focuses on ingredients that are at their most peak in deliciousness .This usually means produce that is in season, which in turn means they are their most flavorful, which is one of the reasons why we change our menu daily. In order to ensure the proper planning of your evening, please allow for 2.5 hours.

We also offer an a la carte dining experience at our bar that is available for walk in guests.

The restaurant’s informal atmosphere features an open kitchen surrounded by intimate tables, outdoor heated garden patio and chefs counter seating. From the warm greeting you receive upon entering until your final goodbye, we invite you to feel at home.

This is my favorite restaurant in the piedmont area, even over Commis. The vibe is very relaxed, the food is consistently amazing, and the service is always on point. If you are a lover of food, check this place out

This is a Michelin star quality restaurant without the stuffiness. The food was interesting and creative.

The very best value for a tasting menu style restaurant. Absolutely delicious courses, great adventurous wine list (with a great sommelier), terrific cocktails, excellent service, in a comfortable, non-stuffy, non-pretentious setting. It gets a little loud as time goes by (especially at a table for our party of 6), but not impossibly so.

Outstanding. 10/10, A+. The service staff was very informative, fun, and knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks being served. The food was excellent, unique and delivered meticulously. We opted for the counter seats which overlooked the kitchen staff. I appreciated how organized and efficient the kitchen ran - a well oiled machine. A phenomenal experience! Thank you!

The food was incredible. So many different flavors and unique ingredient combinations. It was a wonderful experience. The alcohol pairings were equally unique and went well with the food. Service was attentive but no overwhelmingly so, and lots of information about what was being served. Would definitely recommend.

Fine dining experience with delicious and creative dishes rolling from the large, open kitchen. The wine pairing had some excellent surprising selections. I loved watching the chefs work while seated at the counter. Highlights included the crudo,sweetbreads,pork belly and the warm roll. Fantastic place for a special evening of gastronomic excellence.

I dined at Mago on December 12 with friends. It's one of my local favorites and I have always been delighted with new menu items, unexpected flavors and textures and excellent wines suggested by the sommelier. Last night was no exception. The new lower price for the menu on Wednesdays and Thursdays did not result in any skimping on the menu. Service is attentive without any rush. Mago continues to be first on my list of restaurants in the East Bay.

I thought it was superb service and creative courses with seasonal, fresh ingredients. The seafood courses could have been better prepared, they tasted a little fishy. Overall, we will come back and we’re so excited to try their barbecue.
