Main Street Bistro is located in the historic Old League City district right next to Helen’s Gardens on Main Street (hence the name). The menu here is a mix of local, Hispanic, coastal and Creole recipes. French cooking techniques and methods are used to produce stunning results like the famous Napa Valley burger. It’s made with rosemary mustard, Boursin cheese and peppered bacon. Another popular dish at Main Street Bistro is the shrimp and grits. The dish is covered in creamy cheese and Andouille sausage. If you come for breakfast, Main Street Bistro has an expansive menu with French toast, stuffed French toast, breakfast tacos, Texas bangers and mash and several forms of eggs benedict.

Reservation at 5:30. Seated immediately. Order taken and dinner (one entree, split between my wife and me) served promptly. Chicken was dry/stringy. Rice good; squash fair; spinach fair. Only 3 dessert selections. We placed a dessert order at 6:00. 25 minutes later, the waitress advised us that the kitchen was "behind", but our order (a slice of Red Velvet cake) should be delivered very shortly. Within 5 minutes, a worker from the kitchen delivered the relatively small slice of cake. The cake was the best part of the meal. [30 minutes to slice and deliver the dessert?] The cost was $38 (not counting the tip). Overall, the experience was marginal. We could have received a better meal at half the price at several other restaurants.

We had a great experience here. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! I had the crab cakes. I would definitely go back, and also would recommend Main Street Bistro to friends.

Always count on a good meal at MSB. Stuffed jalapeños are the best. Spinach and artichoke dip is made fresh. No complaints.

Food and service were very good. The food was presented well and cooked to order. My wife had some minor food modifications and they were done exactly as requested. They changed locations about a year ago and the first time we were at new location. We will be back!!

Food was unimpressive, cold and bland. It was as if someone was trying their very best to make high end cuisine after watching some YouTube videos without any actual experience or training.
