   First of all, the food items were very tasty. That’s good. However, I was there with a party of 5. 2 of us the who had to ordered dishes with poached eggs, the eggs were initially received cooked hard, vs runny yolks. We both asked to get runny yolks and one of the 2 of us had to send our order back twice before it was right. Everyone else at the table mentioned their dishes were barely warm and felt like they had been sitting waiting to be delivered. Also, at first for appetizers, service was fast abut the rest of the time, the service was very slow. We had to remind the waitress to get our cocktails. Overall, I would try it again because despite the issues, the food was really good.

   Everything was just okay until the bill came. Interesting because we had commented on the oddity of my wine order. The server asked if I wanted the 5 oz or 8 oz. We said that’s odd. It’s usually 6 or 9 oz. Okay well I will take the 5 oz. When I ordered a second we noticed it was the larger pour. Okay I can accept that. Bill comes and they charged me for 2 large glasses. I told the server and they are arguing with me that it didn’t happen. I asked to speak with the manager. Server comes back and says “I spoke with my manager and they are arguing bartender remembers pouring you a large each time, but we will accompany you and only charge for 2 smalls”. WTF. Accommodate me? The bartender can remembering pouring my drink when I am at a table across the room in a crowded restaurant celebrating St Paddy’s day?!? Remarkable. I will accommodate them and not go back there!!!

   Great food and service! A little pricey, but they did provide a birthday treat for my mom. I’d definitely go again.

   A buddy and I went to eat at Makers Union on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9:00pm. The food was good, and the server was attentive. There was also live music - a guy playing guitar and singing. So far, everything is perfect, right? Not really. The music was way too loud. This essentially ruined it for us. We were there for good food and conversation. When you are leaning in and reading lips all night, it becomes tiresome. If you want to hang at the bar and shout to your friends during the music, then this is your place. If you want to eat dinner and chat with friends, I'd go elsewhere on a Saturday night.

    Our waiter JP was excellent and half of the dishes were very good. Perhaps it was because of Valentine's Day, but the restaurant was very crowded and no area at the bar where we could get drinks while waiting for our table.
