Very disappointing they were out of half of the menu. Alfredo had no flavor , spinach dip was watery and my baked potato was dryer out over cooked they tried to hid it with extra cheese. My waitress was the highlight she needs a raise !!!!

We should have put more value on the comments we had seen previously. We live near the Wharf so we wanted to give this place a shot, but it just doesn’t cut it. This is Washington DC and there are just too many choices for a restaurant not to have good food. Andrew our server is a nice young man, but the nachos are made with fake whiz-type cheese, and the chicken and fish have very little flavor. The lamb lollipops were good though. Doubtful we come back, sorry.

First time at this location and welcomed by our server Sharee. She was awesome. My favorite lunch dish at Makers Union is the kale Ceasar but was disappointing. The salad was soggy and the chicken tasted processed. I am writing it off as a bad day and will return. My colleague loved her chix sandwich.

It was nothing to write home about. Overall, the food lacked flavoring, and a brunch menu with only one non-breakfast food is very limited for those who don’t want eggs or carbs (waffles). It was an advantage that we could make reservations, and the restaurant interior has a catchy, eclectic vibe. the monkey bread was the highlight of the meal, but overall the à la carte pricing was too high. There wasn’t enough variation in the dishes to warrant the $38 all you could eat brunch option.

Enjoy the food and environment, this is my third visit and each time the service has been very slow. Tonight they had maybe one or two server. I ordered a drink and received it when I was about done with my dinner. Against my own judgment, I order a cup of coffee and key lime pie and it took 10 minutes to get the coffee and I canceled before the pie arrived.

Shelley is amazing! Got the frosted flake crusted French toast - absolutely delicious. Friends enjoyed their meals too.

My server was awesome and so was my food. I also enjoyed my cocktail. It’s a great place for group dining.

Makers Union was decorated in such a cute and festive manner. The lamb lollipops were delicious; however the chicken and waffles were both bland. The breading on the chicken was seasoned but the chicken was not. The crab cake also needed more seasoning. The kid’s burger received rave reviews by its recipient. Our server was kind, but appeared to be under the weather which is off putting when it comes to food. She also needed reminders to bring various items that we’d ordered/requested. Overall, we may return and try other items but not anytime soon.

The service was amazing. Very tasty food and good portions. The bottomless mimosas is a plus! Definitely will recommend and will be coming back again.

We originally were going for Mexican but wanted something that my picky son could eat. There was definitely something for each of us to order but it just wasn't great. Our nachos were meh -- very thin chips covered in what seemed like a very "canned" cheese sauce. The guac was good, but there wasn't much of it or the rest of the toppings. I got the grains bowl. It was fine. The salmon was a little over cooked. The poke bowl - well, let's just say we should leave that to those who specialty is Asian food. My picky son was happy with the fried chicken sandwich. And there were no complaints about the shirley temple or the wine. So, overall it was fine, but we were looking forward to a little better meal.
