    Had an amazing dinner. This has become one of my go to spots. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Dierdre made amazing recommendations. The Thai She crab soup was phenomenal as was the salmon poke bowl. Love that they have single barrel whiskey picks as well.

    Came for a work Happy Hour. Lots of great options at good prices. The sangria was fantastic and I loved the empanadas. The bartender Laura was super nice and had great recommendations.

    We had a reservation but ended up being sat at the bar which was no big deal until we realized the bartender service was atrocious. There were 3 bartenders and only 10 people at the bar but somehow it consistently took 15 minutes to receive a drink after ordering. After 2 drinks we didn’t see our bartender for 20 minutes. We asked the other bartenders for help but they ignored us. We ended up having to talk to management who compensated our drinks (after almost accidentally charging us double). Nice ambience though.

    One of the worst experiences I’ve had. We want to give andrew props for helping us all the way. Its a 2hr bottomless brunch and drinks but no wonder there is a time. Not only will they delay the time and not bring the food on time but they will kick you out of the table for a non existent reservation. After we are left to go to the bar, we verified if the table was taken and it was not. I think they did not understand we were willing to pay for regular price and adhere to what we were entitled to. The manager on both instances said my family was not in the best circumstances which was not true. Upon speaking to him he even stated we were stumbling and even said we were not coherent which again is not true. We understand that it is to the managers discretion to administer food and beverages but we believe the manager is not fully trained or has a bias on his discretion. Be aware of this place.

    For the price of brunch it was good. The food came out hot and it was good. I’ll be back.

    Second time to Makers Union in the Wharf, and glad we gave them a second chance (shows that any place can have an off night). We were pressed for time, and our waiter made sure our courses came when we needed them. Food was excellent. Lamb chops were delicious as was the Thai She crab soup—that really was a fusion of eastern seaboard and southeast Asian flavor. Smoked old fashioned delivered with a bit of flair, poured from a glass flask holding the smoke and cocktail for some drama and infusing the drink with the smoky aroma.

    This place was a typical DC Wharf restaurant. Nice decor and a pop soundtrack. A little loud for “date night,” more of a “work outing” feel. One of us had the French Dip which was two or three thin slices of ordinary tasting prime rib and barely detectable cheese but on a HUGE toasted roll. Other had a much better value. The fried chicken sandwich with a thick think tasty breast and healthy portions of lettuce, tomato, and pickles. One had a nice large mocktail, other had a decent Italian red wine. Paid for the larger pour but it felt a little short.

    I had a great time here for brunch. Food was delicious and BOTTOMLESS! And the mix n match drinks was a great option too. Can’t wait to come back.
