   I’m not normally a person who would complain, but we have extremely sub par treatment for our special Mother’s Day dinner. To start I was very uncomfortable when everyone around us was given a carnation for Mother’s Day. Our server ignored this and/or forgot. I kept thinking she would bring flowers, but not until paying the bill (I asked) she said that she was waiting for the bill to be paid. She never refilled water glasses She forgot to bring bread - we finally asked She never brought butter for the bread I should mention that this could have been excused if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. Our waitress didn’t appear to have any tables, but ours so I’m honestly wondering if she was new. If so, it would seem someone should have been looking over her work. This certainly left an uncomfortable feeling for what I had hoped to be a special Mother’s Day dinner. My wife and daughter-in-law were uncomfortable, but wanted me to feel OK that they were treated to a dinner. I just wish it had been nicer. …………………………………………………………………. The next evenings; On a very positive note: Ryan - Assitant Manager reached out to me this evening (Monday) to apologize profusely for our experience. He showed true concern that our Mother’s Day dinner had been far less than we had hoped. He also wanted us to have a chance to experience what Malibu Beach Grill was intended to be. I must say that I appreciated him taking the time to gain the details and assure me and my family that this wouldn’t happen again. With his encouragement, we will return and give their restaurant a chance. Thank you Ryan for the effort to regain my confidence in your restaurant. We will give you another chance.    Hi James, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm truly sorry to hear that your Mother’s Day dinner did not meet expectations, especially on such a meaningful occasion. The missed flower presentation, lack of attentiveness from your server, and incomplete table service are all unacceptable, regardless of how busy or quiet the restaurant may have been. What you described is not reflective of the standard we aim to uphold, and I sincerely apologize for any discomfort you and your family experienced. Please know that we are following up with your server to address what went wrong and ensure this does not happen again. Mother’s Day is meant to be a celebration, and we regret that your evening didn’t reflect that.

   We have never had a less than positive experience here. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu is balanced but they tend to favor penne pasta. Nothing really wrong with that because the dishes themselves are delicious. The restaurant has been a stable fixture in Port Orange for years.

   The people couldn’t have been nicer. The food was well prepared. Everything was warm - hot when it arrived. Our waiter was charming.

   Easter out with family was made easy at Malibu Grill. They were able to accommodate a reservation change and increase on party size. They had a standard Easter menu with limited items but still allowed for a teen to order a double portion of the kids menu because she didn’t care for the standard Easter menu that was available. The service was great. Kept things coming as requested and a pleasant demeanor.

   We dined on Easter but had no idea they were serving a limited menu for the day. They were only offering three entrees to choose from. Had the Mahi and it was dried out. Disappointed with our meal on this visit.

   Overall, a fair experience. Vegetable carrots were cold as part of the ham entree. This fact was communicated to server, who provided us with higher temperature carrots. Ham was rather dry.

   Our food was incredible. From the calamari, to the fried zucchini, to the chicken with sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese, and artichoke hearts, it was all fantastic. We will be back again very soon..

    Ordered ribeye, loaded baked potato and provolone mushrooms. Steak had no flavor, potato was ok, mushrooms were canned with a round piece of provolone melted on top. Wine and service was great though!
