Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, southern hospitality is on the top of our list. It’s more than tradition. It’s ice cold beer, key lime pie, and a party in our backyard. Our family wanted to turn passion into a reality in 2013, so we came together and opened Mallards. With Dad in charge of the menu all of our favorites started showing up! From Jambalaya to Tennessee Hot Chicken, our story finds itself on each and every plate!

My friend and I happily returned for a delicious lunch. We had a great server. She had the sweet Adelyn sandwich and I the chicken sandwich, both delicious.

Food (chicken and waffles and chicken sandwich) were ok but nothing special. We sat outside on a covered patio which is a nice option. Server checked on us often…was friendly but a bit annoying as he talked about how many much work he had to do since a teammate didn’t make it in.

Very good lunch menu. Orlando and Isaac were excellent servers. I highly recommend it. The location at Bayshore Mall is perfect.

Food was pretty good. I had the lobster roll which was nice, another member in my party had the Surf & Turf. Fried shrimp was great, the steak looked more like a hamburger and didn't taste the best. We were celebrating a birthday, so the server explained they give the Key Lime Pie for free, but it was something the birthday person couldn't have. We ordered the hot apple pie instead which was amazing. It never showed up on the bill they left at the table afterward, yet we were charged for it once the copies came after handing over my CC. Poor service.

The food was OK. The shrimp tacos the tortilla was cold and hard. The Elote fritter tasted like I was eating corndogs still good, but not what I was looking for in regards of flavor. The crabcakes taste was good but it looks more like just something that was dropping into the plate not an actual form of a cake or consistency. The Mediterranean bowl with the blackened chicken it was average OK the description said that it has some quinoa but mine has absolutely none. The chickpeas inside the salad seems like were just drop out of the can into a salad nothing special to it. Service can improve definitely more attention bringing at least water to the table a little bit faster while we sit and wait for 20 minutes to get drinks a table next to us came in later and sit down got their drinks and food fairly quickly while we were just getting our meals by the same server after them. The restaurant looks fine. I know they open not too long ago so there is a couple of things that they could improve in regards of the service and food overall if you're hungry and you want to get something kind of decent to eat this was OK

I made a reservation for Father’s Day. This was by far the worst service I ever received. We were seated, given water, and placed our orders. However, we waited an hour and 15 minutes before our food came out. We didn’t see our server for the rest of the night, until it was time to pay the bill. We never received refills on water, eating utensils, napkins, and our orders were incomplete. This was my second time dining here and unfortunately, I will not be dining here again.
