Maple Block Meat Co. is a tribute to the craftsmanship of butchering, smoking and grilling meat, paying respect to the deep-rooted traditions of American barbecue. Located on Sepulveda Blvd between Venice and Washington Place in Culver City, Maple Block Meat Co. specializes in authentic, wood-smoked meats prepared with the classic technique of smoking with whole peach wood and incorporating a variety of subtle flavor profiles that we love. Guests can expect a familial casual atmosphere, friendly attentive service, seasonal menu based on the traditions of American barbecue and a bar featuring craft beers, interesting wines and handmade sodas.

Brunch is a must! The food is delicious and they offer bottomless. Their servers are on point, they love to chat and they’re great on checking on you through out your experience. I’ll be back!!!!!

Food was amazing. The lettuce wraps and the brisket are my personal favorite. Good line up of drinks also

Brisket was dry. Mac&Cheese was served room temperature. Fries had too much seasoning (we requested only salt). Shiner on tap was flat and lukewarm. Servers were nice. Cole Slaw and biscuits were great!

Cornbread, chicken and brisket were very good. Sausage a bit dry and ribs were good. Great service, fun atmosphere.

Another excellent experience at Maple Block. Service was fantastic and the brisket and chicken were delicious. We loved that the pulled pork didn't come out drenched in sauce--it had just enough to balance the fatty pork.

We got our usual Feast for our family so we could sample the different meats. We had the chocolate bread pudding and peanut butter banana pudding for dessert and they were both delicious too. The staff were great and accommodating.

This was our first time at Maple Block. We started with the peach wood smoked chicken wings—not o ur jam. The texture of the wings was rubbery (especially the drumette), but it had a nice rub and good smoke flavor. The buffalo wing sauce accompanying them was awesome. We then ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, ranch beans, a kale salad, and the night’s special—crispy half chicken with salsa verde. The brisket was delicious—half lean, half fatty just as we had ordered it. The bbq sauce was spot on. Beans are always the test at a bbq place for us and they were stellar, perfectly cooked and creamy with just a hint of sweetness. However, the star of the show was definitely the special—this needs to be on the menu permanently!! Half a smoked chicken, fried to crispy perfection, topped with a refreshing herb salad with pickled white onions (which are better than their red), served with tomatillo salsa. This was the best smoked chicken that we have ever had. A refined dish that doesn’t let you forget that the chicken is the star of the show. FYI, portion size is robust, we took home 3/4 of the chicken, 1/2 the beans, and 1/2 the brisket. It made for a lovely breakfast in the morning.
