Hare & Hounds is a three-storey neighbourhood gastropub in the heart of Islington, offering seasonal British dishes with a twist, delicious bar snacks, and a strong lineup of cocktails, pints, and curated wines. Whether you're here for a relaxed drink, a long dinner, or something in between, we've got you covered. Our spaces include the buzzing main bar to the elegant Tyndale Room and cosy Dally Bar. On the weekdays, enjoy our £5 happy hour and then let your hair down for our live music and events on the weekends. Pasta Slut Sundays launch on 20th July — serving comforting bowls of fresh pasta alongside good wine and good company. A place to settle in, eat well, and stay late.

My friend and I absolutely loved our experience at The Hound and The Hare! The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic — the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, with a really cute vibe that made the whole meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a relaxed yet memorable dining experience in London.

We booked the on-line in the upstairs restaurant and were offered a fabulous table with a view out to the church and green . The service was very personal and very efficient . The food was delightful and the cocktails original !! Would return anytime we are back in Islington !!

Great new pub. Was a former private club and recently converted. Very good Sunday roast. Great staff. Would definitely return if I lived in London.

The atmosphere was nice, live jazz music (though a little loud for the space), and roast was good. The price was a bit high and we were charged for little extras like horseradish and extra gravy which most supply at not cost especially for a £25 roast. Would return but hope to see some adjustments!

I had a Sunday beef roast which is so often a disappointment - but here it was excellent. I will go back again. Neck Oil was good and I enjoyed the glass of Shiraz too. Attentive service and a good jazz Piano and vocals duo.

We had a dinner at the pub, it's been awesome! The food was really good and the price correct! We try the cheese board, the charcuterie board, and as French people we can say that it was very good and of good quality. We also taste the bruschetta and the giant sausage roll, so good too! I really recommend this new restaurant/pub, the atmosphere was very pleasant and not too noisy, and the waiters were respectful.

Lovely ambience in the upstairs dining room. Attentive staff delivered excellent service and a delicious, perfectly cooked roast in the relaxed surroundings. We highly recommend and will certainly be back.
