We visited shortly after their soft opening, bringing the whole family for our first experience. The building is striking, and the interior lives up to its promise. With reservations for five, we were greeted warmly and seated at a table large enough for double our party size.
Our waiter, Travis, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and accommodating to my three young kids, who were restless without their iPads or coloring pages. Travis suggested they draw on the menus, assuring us there were plenty of replacements.
For appetizers, I had lobster bisque, Spanish octopus, and oysters, followed by a bone-in ribeye with greens, fries, asparagus, and carrots. The lobster bisque was rich and flavorful; even my son approved. The octopus was tender and beautifully seasoned—my wife said it might have been her favorite dish. The complimentary bread, warm and sprinkled with salt flakes, paired perfectly with sweet whipped butter.
The ribeye was perfectly cooked to medium-rare and incredibly tender, though it lacked the seared crust I expect from a premium cut. The greens and fries were solid, but the carrots and asparagus arrived covered in cheese, which wasn’t listed on the menu. Not being a fan of cheese, I was disappointed, but Travis quickly brought plain asparagus, comped and much appreciated.
For dessert, I chose the Chef's sorbets, which were exceptional and possibly the best part of the meal. They were far from ordinary, leaving me curious about the other desserts.
My wife ordered the same ribeye along with a NY strip to share with the kids. Everyone enjoyed their food, and my older daughter happily finished with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The kids even declared, “The steak was better than Daddy makes it!”
