    We ended up here because our other Valentine reservation was canceled due to a private party without OpenTable, letting me know. Based on loving the salmon at my last visit,the size and quality of the salmon I ordered last night may be why the restaurant was able to accommodate our reservation on a Friday night as well as a holiday. I don’t think I will return for dinner.

    Server was unattentive. Screwed up my to go order and didnt split ck properly didnt even know who had what when she only had to split by two couples. I paid for my friends dinner not mine. With that being said food was really good especially wings and twinsburger!

    The food was good and the service was exceptional, but it seemed expensive for the portion size. An appetizer portion of onion rings, consisting of 7 large onion rings was $14 ($2/onion ring). The salmon dinner had a extremely small portion of fish for the price and fries were not included with sandwiches, as they were an additional charge.

    This was our first time here. The food was great. Izzy was our hostess and did a great job! We'll for sure be returning.

    I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and it was good! The setting was dark/moody with a cozy fire, and it was quiet enough that I could have a conversation with my wife and enjoy our time there.

    Both of us ordered Corned Beef Reubens. I added onion rings and my wife chips and a salad. The sandwiches were OK but there was way too much sauerkraut and not enough corned beef. The onion rings were terrible. They consisted of a few thin onion slices and a ton of batter. Both the chips and salad were very good. Service was friendly but slow. Food quality inferior to sister restaurant Mavis Winkles.

    Food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't consider this to be anything but bar grade food. Felt like low quality items straight from a food distributors truck.

    Everything was great, food, service, and overall vibe was upbeat. The only downside (very slight) was that the hostess seemed confused that we had a reservation! I even received a call during our meal asking if we were going to attend our reservation! We celebrated my husband's birthday and Mavis house didn't disappoint!

    This was our 4th time at Mavis Public. Each time has been good to great. This evening the chicken in the chicken sandwiches were small and over cooked. The wings and burgers were great and our server was really on point.

    Great spot to watch a game and eat with the family. Everyone got what they wanted. Waiter was excellent
