At Mayfield, we celebrate fresh and local. We take great pride that the produce served at Mayfield is grown onsite in our garden and the remainder is handpicked from local partners. So as you wander through the Garden Centre in the morning, you may well be eating from its bounty a little later in the day. Because we grow our produce, our menu changes with the seasons. The kitchen garden team chat daily with our chefs to make plans and sow the seeds, and when those fruits and vegetables are at their seasonal best, that’s what you’ll find on our menu. You can also take a piece of Mayfield home with you. Choose from our very own delicious jams, chutneys and oils along with other local merchandise. If food is the way to someone’s heart, then you’re going to fall head-over-heels for our deliciousness. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it!

Experience was good and garden’s were exceptional wonderful to experience. Maybe next time do not seat your customers right next to service counter, as there was a number of other tables that were empty. Wife’s chicken was not cooked properly. Still raw inside. All in all nice and relaxing experience.

Service and atmosphere was amazing but the menu was odd. Prawn rice noodle salad was underwhelming with minimal prawns and very dry. Chicken burger was very average

Great atmosphere and food was amazing. Enough to keep you full prior to exploring the gardens or to refuel. Staff were great and very welcoming.

I had high hopes for our visit to Mayfield Garden Café, but it turned out to be a frustrating experience from start to finish. Prior to our visit, I sent an email inquiring whether their menu was halal-suitable and received no response. This lack of communication felt highly unprofessional and set the tone for our experience. We booked a week in advance, yet when we arrived, the server informed us that they were extremely busy, so we had to order our food at the counter instead of being served at the table. This was disappointing and inconvenient, especially given our prior reservation. The café was clearly understaffed and unprepared for the long weekend rush. When the waitress finally attended to our table, she failed to inform us of the specials of the day and did not write down our orders correctly. As a result, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive. I made it very clear both in our booking request and in person to the waitress that we eat halal and did not want any meat in our dishes, except for seafood. Despite this, the salad we ordered—which was supposed to be meat-free according to the menu—arrived with raw chicken on top. Additionally, the chicken pesto pasta we ordered without chicken came without pesto as well, leaving us with just plain pasta. The staff did not apologize for these mistakes and only replaced the salad. To make matters worse, the staff were too busy to address our concerns properly, and our original waitress did not check on us even once, despite promising to do so. Overall, our experience at Mayfield Garden Café was extremely disappointing. The lack of preparation, poor service, and mishandling of our dietary requirements were unacceptable. I hope the management takes serious steps to address these issues, but I doubt we'll be returning anytime soon.

Food seemed pre cooked and didn’t seem fresh Bacon was hard and inedible Mushrooms missing off one plate and mushrooms supplied after asking staff were dry and not pleasant Overall disappointing as we had high expectations
