    Service was good, food was great, most of the time they don’t disappoint. Portions are smaller, but that’s the case in the most of the restaurants in Portland now. They all wonder why customers don’t come as much anymore. Prices are getting higher and portions are getting smaller. That’s all it is. But we like this place, food is usually very good.

    I was unimpressed with the restaurant! Thinking it was an upscale restaurant one would think you get great service. After we were seated it took 10 minutes for our waitress to come and pour us water, take our orders, offer us bread, which we had to ask for twice again and came 10 minutes later! We arrived at 6:00 and our meal finally came at about 7:30. My gnocchi was so salty I could hardly eat it! Needless to say we will not be eating here again! There are so many great restaurants in our area, we will be spending our money at them instead

    A bit late being able to seat us but once seated a great experience. Perfect steaks, tasty salad and chowder. Service again slow right at the beginning but immediately improved. Server was top notch and happy to be there.

    We dined on New Years Eve and were delighted to be seated by a lovely staff person who was delightful and dressed for the occasion. Our server Morgan did a great job managing her tables. She was efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating and warm. I asked for one substitution with my main entree and despite the fact that it was New Year’s Eve she smoothly made suggestions for an alternative starch and efficiently took my order. Two of our diners ordered the seafood cioppono which had a generous assortment of delicious seafood including calamari, shrimp, mussels and scallops. The other two diners had salmon (perfectly prepared) and steak (delicious and prepared as requested). We appreciated the option of a special meal for the night which included a salad or chowder, main entree and a choice of four desserts. The walnut mixed greens were great as always. The desserts we chose were the cheesecake ( delicious) upside down apple pie (unique and delicious),. We brought one of the desserts home which added extra work for our server and I appreciated Morgan arranging this despite her busy evening. We find M and S Grill our go to for special occasions and this experiences reinforced that choice.

    Seated 10 minutes after reservation time. Restaurant had plenty of empty tables, service was good and wait staff pleasant and friendly. We had one order of the petrale sole which was excellent and one chefs special, gnocchi chicken, which was flavorful but on the dry side. Would I return? Yes.

    We were treated as favored guests from door to table. Very happy with the food and ready happy with the oysters.

    Got in easily as had reservation and server was very nice and attentive. Ordered a filet dinner as well as the swordfish. Also, added a side of smashed potatoes and salad. All the food was served perfectly. Ordered steak medium and it was hot and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend! Dirty Martini very good!

    Our waiter, Steve, was perfect. We were seated right across from the station, and there were so many good tables open, and we got that table. Food on point. But why, why why would we have that horrible table?
