El chef y propietario Peter Merriman ha trasplantado su versión de la gastronomía regional de Hawái a esta hermosa ubicación junto al océano en la localidad de Kapalua.     A wonderful experience! We sat at the bar during sunset. The bartenders were wonderful. We had a cocktail and a mocktail. We had the cavatelli as a starter, the daily filet special, and the Mac ceisted mahi mahi. We ended the night with the pineapple bread pudding and it did not disappoint. Everything was so delicious that we were considering going back again before the end of our visit on Maui. Loved it all!

    We sat at the bar and had a super enjoyable sunset dinner. Everything was great and the servers were attentive and professional. We had chow fun, 5/5, probably the best dish; beet salad, delicious but a ripoff at $24; macadamia crusted mahi mahi and seared ahi for mains — both enjoyable; yummy pineapple bread pudding for dessert. Because we sat at the bar, we could see that the cocktails and wine pours were quite short, which was disappointing. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5.

    We will be coming back to Merriman’s… everything was amazing! First they started us off with a tomato soup amuse bouche and homemade bread, and then we had the Dungeness crab salad & shrimp/pork chow fun to start… hot dang, DO NOT SKIP EITHER OF THESE. The cavatelli & crispy pork shank were absolutely to-die for as well. Goes without saying, but the Mai tai slaps—you are losing if you don’t suck down at least 2 of these.

    I had a 6 oz filet and it really had little taste. The waiter had too many tables, thus service was slow.

    Basically would have been great if not having to be seated at bar. Will try again if ever able to secure a regular table. Food was outstanding.
