We came for our Christmas party because we had a great time last year. This year 7 of us were put on a table for 6 even though the restaurant was never full. The lighting in the restaurant is very cold and not at all cozy or nice for this time of the year. There was no music playing for the majority of the stay making the atmosphere even more cold and dull, and ensuring a complete lack of a fun vibe. The mocktails were very disappointing and just tasted like fizzy water with a mixer rather than tasting like the fabulous low alcohol spirits you can buy now. The food took a really long time to come and ranged from excellent to just average. And there was so much of it a lot went to waste and it meant we were too full to enjoy our deserts. I know some people find value in excess but I’d rather be given just enough that I enjoy every mouthful rather than having to leave half of my dessert on the plate. I thought the dauohenoise was bland and try, not creamy and leaky which I expected. The kimchi gyoza was nice but looked so small and sad when my friend had a giant plate of cauliflower put down in front of them. The dessert (Yule log) was fabulous. And although the food took a long time to come the waiter was excellent and friendly, made sure we always had opportunity to have more drinks and explained the delay very well. No points knocked off for the delay or the service. But overall, the lack of vibe and not being able to enjoy my entire meal made me feel like the experience was more of a chore than a party. I’m going to be looking forward to g for somewhere else to go next year. (But I’ll still be back for brunch in Jan)

Great food as always but the service was particularly slow in this branch. Noticed several waiters forgetting things on other tables and took 30 mins to get us our bill after asking twice.

I love Mildreds and last night did not disappoint. The Xmas burger was epic and delicious and the salted margaritas were spot on. Excellent!

Went to eat at the Dalston branch of Mildreds last night. We were served by a person who was totally new to the job of waiting or just not very good at it. Went for the Christmas menu to be told i needed to choose how many courses i wanted there and then. i responded by saying i didn't know if i'd want two or courses at that stage. The waiter replied once i'd made my decision that was it and i'd have to stock with it. That was the first warning sign. Upon serving us the starters came with the mains. There were six of us and this applied to four of us. Myself and my friend only got the Christmas starter. No main. Our other friends then proceeded to eat their mains. After forty minutes we were told ours were on the way. By this time our friends had finished so we said we didn't want to be eating our mains on out own, so we refused them at that stage. Another member of staff became involved at this stage. The duty manager maybe? She tried her best to make amends but the service had been so diabolical and the meal spoilt ( she did take off the price of all the mains so that helped ). One thing i thought was odd was the duty manager(?) said they'd had a lot of Deliveroo orders that evening. Like i care as an in restaurant diner. To top the whole evening off the waiter then started to clear plates as some of our friends were still eating. Worst service i've had for years.

Food was good apart from cabbage starter which I wouldn't order again. Drinks were great as was the service especially the woman with red hair - we would definitely come back! Great that happy hour is on for the whole of November!

First time trying a Mildred’s roast and it did NOT disappoint! The Lattice was delicious and came with ALL the trimmings (especially loved the sweet potato carrot purée!) 10/10!

Amazing service! We joined with our dog and newborn and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and give us a table with space for the pram and dog. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm inviting and perfect.

We did the Mildred’s supper club and sadly were pretty disappointed. It just felt v chaotic and overall not good quality or value for money. There were long waits between courses and food was cold and lacked flavour. Needs better organisation and execution. It’s disappointing when the fave part was the popcorn…
