Milk and Honey is a New Orleans themed Southern Brunch that features Award Winning Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, RumChata French Toast and specializes in other slow cooked mouth-watering favorites. No matter the type of experience you are looking for, we have the dish for you. Join us for brunch with friends, lovers, family and everyone in between. Carryout available at all locations. Milk and Honey Wharf is located along the beautiful Southeast Waterfront in Washington DC.     The restaurant was incredibly loud. Our waiter never refilled drinks for our table despite three of the four glasses being emptied with the appetizer. Only a few of the tables were in use. The food was decent though some items were priced higher than the quality of the meal. Then to top it off, the restaurant marked me as a no show on my reservation arriving five minutes early. Glad I kept the receipt.

    We had a 4 pm reservation for our group of 6. It took them 15 minutes to seat us even though there were many open tables and they seated many other groups first. They didn’t provide any information about what was going on. It was too load in the restaurant to have a conversation even when yelling to the person right next to us. When we were seated it was another 15 minutes and no one came by the table to serve. We didn’t even have water. 30 minutes after our reservation time we left still never having been visited by a server. We won’t try this place again. Very unpleasant experiment.

    Reservation was for 3PM we arrived at 2:45PM hostess made us wait to be seated until 3:30PM. Once seated no one came to the table for the first 15 minutes once server can we did our complete order including appetizers but all food came at the same time. Music was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation amongst our table cause of the volume of the music. Seating was very small just an overall bad experience for our first time there.

    The service was very good, everyone was polite and accommodating to our needs. From filling our water and checking on us without being over bearing or making us feel rushed. I would say the food is very good. Noise level was not too loud, so a nice place to meet with friends to chat or celebrate. The chicken and waffles was very good. The chicken could have had more seasoning for my taste, but the waffle was perfect; soft inside and slightly crispy outside. Ask for extra Biscoff sauce! The Jumbo Shrimp with homemade chips and Crispy Brussel Sprouts were excellent choices. The deviled eggs were good but served warm, I just prefer cold deviled eggs, but they were very tasty,

    I dined at Milk & Honey on the DC Wharf today and the food was amazing. The food was hot, fresh, well plated, and tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff was even better. Johanna, was exceptional, she was patient, attentive, kind, and professional. She made my day! Thank you all for a job well done

    The food was fine - we’d go back for that - but the bar seemed to be on vacation! Drinks took forever and several drinks were “unavailable “! The wait person was new and tried very hard but desperately needed more training. Music was VERY loud. We probably won’t return.

    Right across the street from Arena Stage... convenient and enjoyable pre-show dinner. The Honey Old Bay Wings are possibly the best wings we've ever had.

    They had a DJ playing music but it was way too loud, we had a party of 7 and we couldn’t have a good conversation with each other without screaming. We felt like we were in a club. Only two out of the seven enjoyed their food, and those two had the same thing. The food had no real flavor and taste. We took company from out of town here and we were so dissatisfied and disappointed. We will not be returning, there are so many other better restaurants at the wharf.
