Specializing in contemporary Mexican cuisine, Milpa showcases bold and authentic flavours from Chef Elia Herrera. Hailing from Cordoba, Veracruz, is a third-generation Mexican chef who is deeply rooted in family traditions and is dedicated to infusing her cooking with these bright flavours through inventive small plates crafted with quality ingredients. Drawing inspiration from the rich culinary traditions of Veracruz, Milpa offers a modern twist on classic dishes, providing a unique dining experience that highlights the diversity of Mexican cuisine. The place is super cute, the food was good and margaritas were delicious. Unfortunately the service was subpar. I had t get the servers attention several times to order another drink.

We’ve been coming here since it opened and sadly the service seems to decline each time :( we keep coming back though because the food is ALWAYS amazing.

The restaurant may have been having a bad night because it did not live up to hype or reviews. Food was lack lustre and one of our food dishes was inedible. Service was overall poor, however the bartender was lovely and drinks were decent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Milpa. Service was fantastic and the food was outstanding. We started with the Tres Marias dip trio, and the nopales salad. For mains we enjoyed the Baja fish tacos and the Rollo de Pollo. I loved the pipian verde so much that I’d come back just for it. My dining companion is from California and knows Mexican food and was absolutely blown away. He said the margarita was one of his favourites, on par with his favourite place at home.

This is the second time that we are eating there. The place is amazing, the ambiance and music extraordinary. The service is excellent. We only have a couple of dislikes: salsas and chips. Salsas are great, a very small amount of them but is fine. The eggplant chips were delicious but I can’t say the same for the tortilla chips. There were old and no tasty at all. Mole chocolate cake were super cold, I understand that you keep it in the fridge but it was hard to chew. Not really like the texture and the flavour. The drinks are expensive but good. The other dishes that we tried were delicious ! We will be back for sure!

Had the most lovely date night at Milpa! The food and drinks were fantastic! Loved getting to try new and interesting salsas, and the lamb tacos were to die for! Such lovely decor and ambiance as well. I would highly recommend dining there.

The food is excellent, and the staff do great at helping a non-Spanish speaking patron to select good food. The tables are spaced close enough together to get lots of customers, but not too close that you can overhear conversations. The open kitchen is great, it appeared to me like the staff enjoy their job and take it serious. The staff made us feel like they were glad to have us in their restaurant, glad to share their food with us, and genuinely wanted us to come back.
